Aid to encourage research and training activities of research staff in training of the Department of Agroforestry and Genetics Science and Technology of the University of Castilla-La Mancha for the year 2023

Official description of the call

First. Beneficiaries. People who meet the following requirements will be eligible for aid: a. Be enrolled during the 2022/2023 academic year in one of the UCLM doctoral programs. b. That at least one of the directors who appear in the enrollment record is, as of the date of publication of this call in the Official Gazette of Castilla-La Mancha, a member of the Teaching and Research Staff or Research Staff groups and is attached to the Department of Agroforestry and Genetics Science and Technology of the UCLM. Those people whose thesis director, as established in the registration record, is a scientific staff of the Higher Council for Scientific Research and is assigned to the Institute for Research in Hunting Resources, will be considered equally eligible, provided that the person who appears as academic tutor of the applicant is assigned to the Department of Agroforestry and Genetics Science and Technology of the UCLM. c. The same person will not be eligible for more than one aid under this call. The presentation of more than one application by the same person within a certain application period, as established in the Fourth section 2 of this call, will mean the cancellation of all applications submitted by said person in that period. Those applications submitted during the second period by people who had obtained aid during the first period will be considered ineligible for financing. Notwithstanding the above, those who had submitted an application in the first period that had not been selected for financing, may submit a new application, to finance another activity, during the second period. Second. Object. Financial aid is provided to fully or partially cover the expenses derived from attendance and/or participation in scientific conferences or meetings, research stays and attendance at courses or activities of a training nature, as long as the aforementioned activities are related to the applicant's Doctoral Thesis project or contribute to its development and execution. Eligible expenses will refer to: a. Attendance and/or participation in scientific conferences or meetings, including registration costs, travel, accommodation, food and poster printing. In the case of participation, the applicant must have acted as the main author of a communication presented at the congress or scientific meeting. The relationship of the conference and/or the communication presented with the topic of the Doctoral Thesis of the applicant must be duly accredited. b. Research stays carried out by the applicant related to the topic of their Doctoral Thesis, including travel, accommodation and subsistence costs. c. Attendance of the applicant to training courses in subjects related to the topic of their Doctoral Thesis, or in transversal subjects with a clear applicability for the development of the research proposed in the Thesis, including registration costs, travel, accommodation and food. Those training courses whose subject matter is included in the training offer of the UCLM Training Unit to the group to which this call is directed will not be eligible for aid. The activities for which aid is requested must have been carried out, or will be carried out, during the year 2023, according to the following structure: a. First period: activities started before September 30, 2023. b. Second period: activities started after September 30, 2023. In the case of stays partially included in the year 2022, eligible expenses will be calculated proportionally to the length of stay corresponding to the year 2023. Third. Regulatory bases. Regulatory bases that form part of the full text of the call. Room. Amount of aid. The budget for this call amounts to 6,250 euros. Up to a maximum of 4,250 euros is allocated for the aid requested within the first period as established in the fourth base section 2 of the call.
