Official description of the call
OBJECTIVE The objective of this call is to support local culture and contribute to the promotion and development of the cultural sector in the municipality of Pollença, whether it involves artistic productions or whether they are included within the so-called creative industries. In order to reinforce a fundamental pillar of our identity and a key factor for the sociocultural development of citizens, these subsidies and financial aid also aim to promote joint action between the public and private sectors and be useful for both emerging projects and those with a longer track record. Eligible activities must be initiated and developed within the period between January 1, 2023 and November 30, 2023 and must fall within one of the following lines: Line 1. Performing Arts: theater, dance, music, opera, musical theater, performance, cabaret, recital, puppets, circus or comedy. Line 2. Plastic, audiovisual and literary arts: drawing, painting, engraving, comics, sculpture, ceramics, goldsmithing, digital art, fanart, photography, net.art, video art and other publications. Line 3. Conferences, seminars, meetings, exhibitions and studies and research work on topics related to heritage, history, nature, architecture and/or language. Thus, the competence conferred by article 30.26 of the Statute of Autonomy of the Balearic Islands, regulated by Organic Law 1/2007, of February 28, reforming the Statute of Autonomy of the Balearic Islands, is covered. Beneficiaries The following may apply for subsidies: Individuals and legal entities with an artistic vocation or training. Non-profit cultural associations and foundations registered in the register of cultural entities of the General Directorate of Presidency, Culture and Equality of the Government of the Balearic Islands and registered in the register of local entities of the Pollença City Council. Groups of private natural or legal persons and communities of property or any other type of economic unit or separate assets, which although they lack legal personality, can carry out the actions that are intended to be promoted. Eligible activities 5.1. Line 1: Performing Arts Any cultural project included within the scope of the performing arts – such as the disciplines of theatre, dance, music, opera, musical theatre, performance, cabaret, recital, puppetry, circus or comedy – that enhances and enriches the cultural fabric of the Municipality of Pollença and that takes place in the same municipality during January 1, 2023 and November 30, 2023; period of which this subsidy is the subject. 5.2. Line 2: Plastic, audiovisual and literary arts Any cultural project included in the field of plastic, visual or literary arts – such as the disciplines of drawing, painting, comics, engraving, sculpture, ceramics, goldsmithing, digital art, fanart, photography, net.art, video art or other publications – that enhances and enriches the cultural fabric of the Municipality of Pollença and that is developed within the same municipality during January 1, 2023 and November 30, 2023; period of which this subsidy is the subject. 5.3. Line 3. Conferences, seminars, meetings, exhibitions and studies and research work on topics related to heritage, history, nature, architecture and/or language Any cultural project included in the scope of the Conferences, seminars, meetings, exhibitions and studies and research work – such as related to heritage, history, nature, architecture and/or language – that enhances and enriches the cultural fabric of the Municipality of Pollença and that is developed in the same municipality during January 1, 2023 and November 30, 2023; period of which this subsidy is the subject. Deadline for submitting applications The deadline for submitting applications will be ten (10) calendar days, counting from the day following the publication of the call in the Official Gazette of the Autonomous Community of the Balearic Islands and on the Pollença City Council website.
