Official description of the call
First. Beneficiaries. The aid is aimed at consortia formed by an SME and a Startup whose activity refers to any sector (CNAE 2009 approved by Royal Decree 475/2007, of April 13), except for the sectors indicated in article 1 of the call, in the geographical scope of the Foral Community of Navarra. Each consortium must be made up of an SME and a Startup that are going to develop an open innovation project and that comply with the provisions of article 10 of the regulatory bases for the granting of aid aimed at promoting innovation through the "Activa Startups" initiative within the framework of the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan, published by Order ICT/1426/2021, of December 14. Second. Object. The purpose of these grants is to promote open innovation, through successful cases of company&startup collaboration, in the form of a consortium or group of companies, which help the growth and digital transformation of companies linked to any sector by working to resolve innovation challenges. Specifically, and in accordance with the provisions of article 7 of Order ICT/1426/2021, of December 14, which approves the regulatory bases, advisory projects on innovation in digital transformation, development and incorporation of emerging technologies, transformation towards a low-carbon economy or incorporation of the circular economy in the SME business model will be eligible for aid, with the aim of responding to challenges posed by companies that seek open innovation through solutions based on emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence, internet of things, massive data and information processing technologies, high-performance computing, blockchain, natural language processing, cybersecurity, augmented reality, virtual reality, collaborative robotics, among others. The aid covered by this call will be considered non-refundable grants. Financial aid will be granted to the companies that make up the beneficiary consortium, to cover the expenses derived from the SME-startup collaboration, in the open innovation work to resolve the challenge. The eligible costs included in these grants are detailed in article 6 of the call. Third. Regulatory bases. Order ICT/1426/2021, of December 14, which establishes the regulatory bases for the granting of aid aimed at promoting innovation through the “Activa Startups” initiative, within the framework of the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan, published in the Official State Gazette number 305, of December 22, 2021. Fourth. Amount. The expenditure for this call is a maximum of SEVEN HUNDRED AND TWENTY THOUSAND EUROS (€720,000) which will be contributed by the EOI Foundation under the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan, integrating it into investment 2, "Growth", of Component 13, Promotion of SMEs. The intensity of the aid granted will be one hundred percent of the gross amount of the eligible costs of the project up to a maximum amount of FORTY THOUSAND EUROS (40,000 euros). Fifth. Application submission deadline. The deadline for submitting applications will be one month from the publication of this extract in the BOE.
