Official description of the call
First. Beneficiaries: Students who: - Have defended their TFG, their TFM or their Doctoral Thesis at the University of Alicante in the 2020-2021, 2021-2022 and 2022-2023 academic years may apply for these awards. - The works must be likely to be the basis of a future innovative business project, or innovative works developed in collaboration with a company or entity that provide a solution to a problem or challenge posed by it. Second. Purpose: To propose the ua:emprende awards for final degree projects (TFG), final master's projects (TFM) and doctoral theses that can be the basis of an innovative business project or solve a problem or challenge posed by a company. Third. Regulatory bases: The regulatory bases and call are published jointly in the Official Gazette of the University of Alicante on June 27, 2023, at the following URL: https://www.boua.ua.es/Agreements/DescargarAtrabajo/40361 Cuarto. Amount: The maximum endowment of the call is €6,600, with regard to the University of Alicante. Regarding the FPCA budget, the maximum allocation will be €1,200. The prizes will be the following: -Three TFG prizes of €600 each. - Two TFM awards of €900 each and a prize of €1,200 from the Alicante Science Park Foundation (FPCA) for the best TFM applied in companies linked to the FPCA. - Two Doctoral Thesis awards of €1,500 each. Fifth. Deadline for submitting applications: The deadline for submitting applications will begin on July 1 and end on October 31 (11:59 p.m. deadline) 2023. The call will be published in full on BOUA for information purposes. Sixth. Other data: Award criteria: The proposals will be evaluated by a jury through the analysis and discussion of the documentation provided based on criteria such as the degree of innovation and impact of the proposal, its viability and its relationship with the TFG, TFM or Doctoral Thesis. The following scale will be established: The allocation of prizes will be carried out following the following criteria: - Relationship of the proposal with the TFM, TFG and Doctoral Thesis. 20 points - Viability of the proposal. 30 points - Degree of development. 30 points - Degree of innovation. 20 points The Jury, at its discretion, may urge the candidates to present their project for which they will be required with sufficient notice. Those works that do not obtain 20 points in the criterion "Relationship of the proposal with the TFM, TFG and Doctoral Thesis" will be rejected.
