First.– Beneficiaries. The following may submit applications to benefit from the financing of promotion and communication measures in third countries: Wine companies defined, according to article 2.13 of the regulatory bases, established prior to the date of submission of the application. Wine producer organizations and associations of wine producer organizations, defined in accordance with articles 152 and 156 of Regulation (EU) No. 1308/2013 of the European Parliament and of the Council of December 17. Interprofessional organizations. Professional organizations that carry out their activity mainly in the wine sector, and that have among their statutory purposes the carrying out of promotional activities. Management and representation bodies of wine PDOs and PGIs, as well as their associations. Temporary or permanent associations of producers whose purposes include the development of initiatives regarding the promotion and marketing of wine. Cooperatives that sell wines made by them or by their members. Non-profit associative entities owned exclusively by companies in the wine sector that have among their purposes the external promotion of wines. Public Bodies with legally established competence to carry out actions to promote and communicate products and markets in third countries, provided that said body is not the only beneficiary of the aid. Second. – Purpose. These measures seek to promote knowledge of the characteristics and qualities of wines, in order to contribute to the improvement of their competitive position and the consolidation or, where appropriate, the opening of new markets, in third countries. All countries not belonging to the European Union are considered eligible to carry out promotional measures. Third.– Regulatory bases. The regulatory bases for these subsidies are set out in Royal Decree 905/2022, of October 25, which regulates the Wine Sector Intervention within the framework of the Strategic Plan of the Common Agricultural Policy. Fourth. – Amount. The aid called for in this order will be financed from the European Agricultural Guarantee Fund (EAGF). The aid will be granted under Budget Application 3101 G/412B01/47036/0 of the General Budgets of the Autonomous Community of Castilla y León for the corresponding year. Fifth. – Presentation deadline. Interested parties may submit their application from the day following the publication of this extract in the Official Gazette of Castilla y León until 2:00 p.m. on September 14, 2023.
