Call for the VII Youth Writing Contest in Valencian 2023

Official description of the call

First. Object and purpose: The Alzira City Council has as one of its objectives the normalization of Valencian in our population, and more especially among youth, and one of our initiatives is the call for the Youth Writing Contest in Valencian. Likewise, it is the object of these stipulations to define the set of conditions and the procedure that must be followed for the sole•licity, obtaining, justification and collection of these prizes of the VII Youth Writing Contest in Valencian. Second. Beneficiaries: All centers and students enrolled in schools and institutes in Alzira at the following levels may participate: third cycle of Primary (5th and 6th), ESO, Baccalaureate, Training Cycles and Adult School. People who are in any of the situations of prohibition of holding such status established in article 13 of Law 38/2003, of November 17, general on subsidies, may not be beneficiaries of these awards. Third. Regulatory bases: The Plenary Session of the Alzira City Council, in the session held on January 29, 2020, has definitively approved the General Subsidies Ordinance of the Alzira City Council, which contains the regulatory bases of the procedure for the granting of subsidies by this City Council, and the full text of the same has been published in the Official Gazette of the province of Valencia No. 29, dated February 12, 2020. Fourth. Deadline for submitting applications: The deadline for submitting works will be from the day following the publication of the extract of the call in the Official Gazette of the Province of Valencia until November 15, 2023. Students must present their essays to the center's Secretariat. Educational centers will have to present the essays of their students, in the General Registry of the Alzira City Council, or in the other forms contemplated by art. 16.4 of Law 39/2015, on the common administrative procedure of public administrations, together with an instance, to which a list of the editorial offices that compete will be attached along with the envelopes. The educational center that does not submit the essays within the established deadline will not be eligible for the awards. Fifth.- Maximum total amount of the subsidies called: The maximum total amount of these awards will be 3,000 euros, charged to the budget application 3266 48510 "Language normalization subsidies", of the Alzira City Council Budget for the year 2023. Sixth.- Documentation: The motto of this year's contest is the following: "Alzira has all the colors of green." a) The texts presented must have the environment as their protagonist and Alzira, for example, can appear as characters, motif, context, setting... orchards and agriculture, places such as Casilla or Arrayán, Júcar, the green ring, parks or issues related to the environmental state of the city and the term and possible improvements. b) The texts must be written in Valencian and must have a maximum of four pages written in a word processor and with font size 11, double spaced. c) Each work must have at the top the course of the person who wrote it, the name of the center where they study, the title of the story and the category to which it is submitted. d) The essay must be submitted in a closed envelope and together with a small envelope containing the title of the story and the author's information: name and surname, identification document, address, telephone number, email address, course and center where the student studies. Seventh. Resolution: The competent body for the resolution will be the Local Government Board. The maximum period to resolve will be six months from the publication of the call.
