From July 28, 2023, call 2023 Temporary stoppage of the fleet with a base port in Andalusia of the purse seine modality in the fishing ground of the Gulf of Cádiz – FEMPA

Official description of the call

BDNS (Identif): In accordance with the provisions of articles 17.3.b) and 20.8.a) of Law 38/2003, of November 17, General Subsidies, the extract of the call is published, the full text of which can be consulted in the National Subsidies Database (http://www.pap.minhap.gob.es/bdntrans) and in this BOJA. First. Call. 1. They are convened under a non-competitive competition regime, for the year 2023, under the Order of September 2, 2022, which establishes the regulatory bases for the granting of aid under a non-competitive competition regime, due to the temporary cessation of the fishing activity of the fishing and shellfish fleet with a base port in Andalusia, within the framework of the Operational Program of the European Maritime and Fisheries Fund (2014-2020), the aid listed in Annex III of the call order, in the maximum total amount specified and in accordance with the budgetary credits that are also indicated in the aforementioned annex, the total amount available for this call being 4,950,000 euros, and the aforementioned amount cannot be exceeded. 2. The period of temporary stoppage, the period eligible to access these aids as well as the eligible days are what are included in Annex III of the call order. 3. The period eligible for aid is counted for a minimum period of 5 consecutive days. In the event that within the minimum period of 5 consecutive days there are days of mandatory rest, they will be counted as a computable period. For the fleet that fishes in the bottom trawling modality affected by the temporary cessation due to a reduction in fishing effort within the framework of the Multiannual Mediterranean Plan, the suspension of fishing activity must be carried out within the period in which the eligible days are limited, that is, from January 1 to October 15, 2023, in intervals of at least 10 consecutive days. Second. Beneficiaries. a) The natural or legal persons (shipowners/operators), as well as the groups identified in article 11.3 of Law 38/2003, of November 17, General of Subsidies in charge of the exploitation of fishing vessels affected by the temporary stoppage that are registered as active in the General Registry of the Fishing Fleet, and that have carried out a fishing activity of at least 120 days at sea, during the two calendar years prior to the date of submission of the aid application b) Natural persons (crew) who have worked at sea for at least 120 days during the two calendar years prior to the date of submission of the aid application, on board a fishing vessel affected by the temporary cessation. Third. Object. The object is the call for aid, for the year 2023, for the temporary cessation of the activity of the fishing fleet with a base port in Andalusia, included in article 21.2.a) of Regulation (EU) 2021/1139 of the European Parliament and of the Council, of July 7, 2021, which establishes the European Maritime, Fisheries and Aquaculture Fund, within the scope of the Autonomous Community. of Andalusia and which are listed in Annex III of the summons order. Room. Regulatory bases. This call will be governed by the Order of September 2, 2022, which establishes the regulatory bases for the granting of aid under a non-competitive competition regime, due to the temporary cessation of the fishing activity of the fishing and shellfish fleet with a base port in Andalusia, within the framework of the Operational Program of the European Maritime and Fisheries Fund (2014-2020), published in the Official Gazette of the Board of Andalusia, September 8, 2022, no. 173. Fifth. Amount. The budget allocation for temporary stops is set out in the table included in Annex III of the call order. Sixth. Application submission deadline. a) For the fleet that fishes in the purse seine modality in the Gulf of Cádiz fishing ground, within 10 business days prior to the end of the corresponding temporary stop. b) For the shellfish fleet that operates with trapping gear to capture octopus on the Mediterranean coast of Andalusia and with specific gear to capture octopus in the national fishing ground of the Gulf of Cádiz, within 10 business days prior to the end of the shutdown of the shellfish fleet that operates with
