Official description of the call

First. Beneficiaries All Spanish series produced by television networks and/or platforms, independent production companies, etc. may participate. Spanish series will be considered those produced by a Spanish company or those whose showrunner or director is of Spanish nationality or resides in Spanish territory. Series that have already participated in the previous edition will not be able to compete, unless they are seasons different from the one presented. Second. Purpose Promote the province of Almería by reinforcing the historical links of this province with the industry and audiovisual culture. The Almería International Film Festival will be held between November 17 and 26, 2023. Third. Regulatory Bases Publication in the Official Gazette of the province of Almería, bulletin board on the website (www.dipalme.org) and on the website www.festivaldealmeria.com. Room. Amount The amount assigned to the call amounts to forty-two thousand (42,000) euros intended for the granting of prizes that are subject to the applicable tax regulations. Fifth. Deadline for submission of applications By resolution of the Presidency no. 2,601, dated October 4, 2023, the deadline for submitting applications for registration in the III Almería National TV Series Contest is extended. FICAL 2023, leaving without effect the one initially planned in the regulatory bases, for next October 9, and setting, as the new deadline, October 16, 2023. Sixth. Other information Each participant may present the number of productions they wish. Each production submitted to the competition must be sent individually according to the registration forms reflected in base number 5. A single declaration may be included for all the productions presented. The date of production or commercial premiere on a Spanish television network or on a platform must be after September 1, 2022. If the organization decides to exhibit the selected series, it will be done in standard resolution format for DCP digital cinema or on the support deemed by the organization.
