Official description of the call
First. Beneficiaries: All fans of mycological photography or subjects related to the nature of fungi may participate, if they request it by sending an email to museo.bio@ibi.es from October 7. Second. Purpose: The call aims to disseminate knowledge about Mycology through scientific fungal photography and promote scientific dissemination in this branch of Biodiversity. Through this contest and once the photographs have been received, they will be printed and exhibited to the public in the rooms of the Biodiversity Museum in Ibi, through the CIBIO of the University of Alicante. Third. Regulatory bases: The regulatory bases and call are published jointly in the Official Gazette of the University of Alicante on October 2, 2023, at the following URL: https://www.boua.ua.es/Agreements/DescargarAtrabajo/42761 Cuarto. Amount: The maximum amount for this call is €300. Up to a maximum of 2 prizes will be awarded: 1st prize of €200 and 2nd prize of €100. Fifth. Application submission deadline: The application deadline will be from October 7 to October 15, 2023, both inclusive. This call will be published in BOUA for information purposes. Sixth. Other information: Award criteria: The awards will be awarded following the following criteria: 1. Originality and rarity of the fungal species photographed (3 points) 2. General composition of the photo in a natural environment (2 points) 3. Photographic technical difficulty of the chosen subject (3 points) 4. Technical photographic criteria such as: framing, focus, sharpness, etc. (2 points) Total 10 points maximum.
