Official description of the call
First. Beneficiaries: Students who have completed their Degree in Chemistry studies during the 2022-2023 academic year at the University of Alicante may obtain beneficiary status and apply for this PRIZE. Second. Purpose: The purpose of this call is to grant, on a competitive basis, an award for the best record in the field of Physical Chemistry aimed at students who have completed their Bachelor's degree in Chemistry at the UA in the 2022-2023 academic year. Third. Regulatory bases: The regulatory bases and call are published jointly in the Official Gazette of the University of Alicante on November 17, 2023, at the following URL: https://www.boua.ua.es/Agreements/DescargarAtrabajo/45141 Cuarto. Amount: A single prize worth €300 and a diploma will be awarded to the person who wins. Fifth. Application submission period: The application period begins on November 21 and ends on December 4, 2023 at 11:59 p.m. This call will be published in BOUA for information purposes. Sixth. Other information: Award criteria: The prize will be awarded to the best record in the area of Physical Chemistry among students who have completed the degree in Chemistry in the 2022-2023 academic year. To do this, both the credits taken in subjects taught by the Department of Physical Chemistry and the grades obtained in them will be taken into account. The subjects that will be considered are: · Electives: Computational Chemistry, Electrochemistry and Sustainable Development. · Final Degree Project. · Compulsory / Basic: Chemistry I, Basic Laboratory Operations I, Chemical Thermodynamics, Quantum Chemistry and Spectroscopy, Advanced Physical Chemistry, Chemical Kinetics. The best file will be the one in which the sum of the product of the number of credits and the grade obtained is maximum. A minimum value of this sum of 485 will be required to qualify for the prize.
