CALL FOR THE APPLICATION AND GRANTING OF GRANTS FOR INTERNATIONAL COOPERATION PROJECTS AND FOR EDUCATION FOR DEVELOPMENT PROJECTS INTENDED FOR PRIVATE NON-PROFIT ENTITIES OF GAVÀ-2024

Official description of the call
First. Purpose The purpose of this call for grants is to define the set of conditions and the procedure to follow for the application, processing, granting, justification and payment of the grants awarded by the Gavà City Council to: International development cooperation projects, in accordance with the priorities and objectives established in the Cooperation and Human Rights Master Plan 2021-25. The strategic and specific objectives of the projects must have continuity with the Strategic Line of Cooperation defined in the Master Plan. The following are excluded from the subsidy: Projects that are uniquely established in the Budget for the year 2024 of the Gavà City Council. Projects that are solely humanitarian or emergency aid or that are solely a transfer of resources. Cooperation projects that are governed by agreement. Projects that involve duplication with other projects that are carried out. Education for Development Project: will be granted for the implementation of projects that incorporate one or more dimensions of the EPD (awareness-raising, education training, social search or mobilization and political advocacy), as stated in the Gavà Cooperation Master Plan, in accordance with the established priorities and objectives: Promote the EPD in all municipal action in agreement with the cooperation agents. Strengthen the capacities of cooperation agents. The following are excluded from the subsidy: Projects that are uniquely established in the Budget for the year 2024 of the Gavà City Council. EPD projects that are governed by agreement. Projects that involve duplication with other projects that are carried out. Projects that do not take into account any of the EPD dimensions. Multi-year projects may only be eligible to be subsidized consecutively for a period of 3 years. The subsidy must be applied to the corresponding project expenses in 2024. Second. Beneficiary entities Private entities and non-profit associations that have headquarters or delegation in Gavà and that are registered in the Municipal Registry of entities may apply for subsidies. Third. The conditions and requirements To obtain the status of beneficiaries of the subsidies referred to in these bases, the entities will have to meet the following conditions and requirements: Development cooperation projects. That the entity has among its purposes, International Cooperation. If the entity does not have international cooperation as its purpose in its statutes, it will need to present a report on the activities carried out by the entity in this field or a report endorsed by a non-profit entity with experience. That the entity has experience working in Southern Countries (all countries in the world that are below the threshold of international social and economic well-being considered as a minimum are included). The project must have the participation of a counterpart in the locality where it is carried out, identifying it in the annexes. The development cooperation project must incorporate an awareness-raising project/action aimed at conveying the objectives of the project to the citizens of Gavà, promoting values of solidarity and cooperation. During the year 2024, different programs and cycles will be carried out that will bring together the different activities. It will be an essential requirement that each activity be specific to the new proposed awareness program, the Human Rights Exhibition, GavàMón. Each entity may submit a single application referring to a single project. Development Education Projects. That the activities be carried out in the municipal area of Gavà, or outside it in the event that it is considered of interest for the external projection of the city. They will guarantee active participation of citizens of Gavà in the design, execution and evaluation of the projects. The delegations of entities of a higher territorial scope in Gavà will have to accredit the people from Gavà who actively participate in the project.
