Official description of the call
Through mayoral decree 2023-3281 dated December 15, 2023, the call for aid to finance the cost of the service of municipal schools has been approved, the content of which is reproduced below: “Organic Law 2/2006, of May 3, on Education, defines Early Childhood Education as an educational stage, of a voluntary nature, that serves boys and girls from birth to 6 years of age. Likewise, it establishes that public administrations will promote a progressive increase in the supply of public places in the first cycle of Early Childhood Education and will coordinate cooperation policies between them and local corporations and private entities to ensure an educational offer in this cycle. In this line, in order to guarantee quality and effective education from 0 years to 3 years, the Carlet City Council took the initiative by increasing the supply of available places in the range in which the existence of a place for each student was not guaranteed. To this end, through. of the instrument of the public works concession, the city council built a new teaching center for early childhood education training, that is, for boys and girls from 0 to 3 years old. The launch of the service was, without a doubt, an important step to achieve effective schooling from 0 years old and a measure that directly contributes to improving the training, education and integration of minors and to improving the conditions for the full reconciliation of family and work life and making progress in compensating inequalities. The municipal infant school has not, on its own, made effective the right of the residents of the municipality with children under 3 years of age to an education while the municipal center does not have a sufficient number of places for the entire population in that range. That is why in the municipality there are other non-municipal centers that are duly approved and that also provide the early childhood education service. Apart from these, and given that the demand for the service has not been covered either, there are other centers and establishments that provide education. They provide a similar service, although without the necessary approval, but which contribute to training and education from an early age. For the 2023 - 2024 school year and given that the Department responsible for education has maintained the aid regime, implemented in the 2021 - 2022 academic year, which means that the cost of 2-3 year old units that are authorized in municipally owned early childhood education centers is completely free for families. these families from the call since they already enjoy complete free tuition at the municipal children's school. For this 2023-2024 academic year, the Ministry maintains the full financing of the cost of schooling for students from 2 to 3 years old enrolled in any authorized private center in the Valencian Community. schooling, residence and condition of not being in debt to the Carlet City Council. In this edition, as in previous ones, to determine the amount of the monthly aid, the Department of Education has established some income brackets to establish the individualized amount of financial aid destined for schooling in nursery schools in order to simplify the calculation of the total amount resulting from the sum of the municipal and regional aid.
