In accordance with the provisions of articles 17.3.b and 20.8.a of Law 38/2003, of November 17, general on subsidies, the extract of the call is published, the full text of which can be consulted in the National Subsidies Database (https://www.infosubvenciones.es/bdnstrans/GE/es/convocatoria/744418) 1. Regulatory bases This call is carried out within the framework of the General Subsidy Ordinance of the Consell Insular de Mallorca, approved by the Plenary Session of the Consell de Mallorca, in a session of December 23, 2016, BOIB no. 21, of February 18, 2017, and modified by the Plenary Session of the Consell de Mallorca, in session June 14, 2018, BOIB no. 96 of August 4, 2018. 2. Purpose of the call 2.1 The purpose of this call is to establish the conditions that regulate the granting of subsidies for non-profit associations, federations of associations and entities of older people, in order to guarantee the continuity and development of the activities carried out by associations, federations of associations and entities of older people. The granting of the subsidy is motivated by the fact that the related entities play a fundamental role in the participation of this sector of the population in today's society as they are configured as a key piece in the socio-health field, with network support being essential to address the greater health and psychological fragility that occurs in these people, in which, due to loss of contemporaries and friends, evolution of family units, retirement, etc., these social networks appear more fragile and in danger of fracture in the face of new needs and changes. In this sense, one of the main social services aimed at frail older people are homes and clubs/associations for older people. In this way, subsidies constitute an important instrument for promoting initiatives, projects, programs and activities that stimulate social and cultural participation within the community. 2.2 This call aims to contribute to the financing of the following expenses: LINE 1: ASSOCIATIONS a) Rental of social premises b) Maintenance and socio-cultural activities Current expenses on goods and services: consumption of electricity, gas and water, telephone and internet, maintenance of computer equipment, community of owners expenses, office supplies, press, civil liability and damage insurance, cleaning, postal communications, rates and taxes, provided that the beneficiary of the subsidy pays them effectively, expenses of printing to publish brochures, magazines, posters, small repairs to the premises and equipment of the association, as long as the value of the property is not increased and requires maintenance of the premises, etc. In summary, current expenses on goods and services necessary for the operation of the association and/or entity. Expenses of an inventoriable nature: acquisition of furniture, appliances, musical equipment, computer equipment, air conditioning equipment, etc. In summary, expenses for the acquisition of goods of an inventory nature necessary for the operation and exercise of the activities of the association and/or entity, and susceptible to inclusion in the inventory. Expenses for travel, tickets and guided tours, lasting a maximum of one day, for sociocultural activities carried out on the Island of Mallorca.
