Official description of the call
Description of the Call: Agreement of the Local Government Board, of February 15, 2024, which approves the Call, on a competitive basis, for the Palma Blanca Crafts Contest, Palm Sunday 2024. Beneficiaries: All persons registered in Elche, of legal age, may take part, participating in the categories they freely decide with the only limitation of submitting a maximum of one work per each of the contest categories. Purpose: This contest aims to promote the Elche tradition of Palma Blanca crafts, as well as to promote the conservation of the craft and its survival as an economic-productive activity. Likewise, it aims to contribute to the enrichment of the celebration of Palm Sunday, a festival of international tourist interest, through recognition of the work of local artisans. The palms must be presented on Saturday, March 23, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. in the Exhibition Hall designated for this purpose. Amount: €7,950.00 Submission Deadline: The deadline for submitting applications to participate in the competition will be from the day following the publication of an extract of the Call in the BOP and will end on March 8, 2024. 2024.
