Subsidies for works to adapt empty homes to rent them at affordable prices 2024

Official description of the call

Beneficiaries The persons, natural or legal, owners or usufructuaries of empty homes in the private stock located in the municipality of Igualada, under the conditions determined by the bases and with the commitment to include the home in the Social Rental Mediation Program of the Igualada Local Housing Office, to increase the social rental stock. The following persons are excluded from these subsidies: a) Financial entities, the real estate subsidiaries of these entities, investment funds and asset management entities, including those from bank restructuring, in accordance with commercial legislation. b) Natural or legal persons who own more than 15 homes. c) Single-family homes. d) Homes included in multi-family buildings that present deficiencies in the common elements, unless their repair is carried out in parallel with the work on the home. In the event that the building is under a horizontal property regime, it will be essential to have the agreement of the community of owners to intervene in the common elements. - Object and purpose of the subsidies The object and purpose of these bases is to establish the requirements for the granting of subsidies to adapt empty homes in the private park of the municipality of Igualada, to the conditions of habitability, accessibility and/or energy efficiency required by current regulations, by carrying out rehabilitation or renovation works and updating the interior of the homes so that they can be used for rent at affordable prices. - Regulatory bases The regulatory bases for these subsidies are published in the Official Gazette of the Province dated December 29, 2023. - Amount The maximum endowment of the call is 140,000 euros charged to item 40006/15212/78000 of the general budget of the Corporation for the year 2024. The budgetary allocation of this call may be subject to an extension of in accordance with the applicable regulations and according to budget availability, by resolution of the Mayor's Office or the delegated council. If the expansion occurs, it will be published in the National Subsidies Database (BDNS). The amount of the subsidy is 100% of the protectable budget, with a limit of €20,000 per home. The protectable budget is made up of the budget for the material execution of the works, the fees of the technical professionals and the costs that, if applicable, are incurred to obtain the certificate of occupancy and the energy certificate. - Deadline for submitting applications The deadline for submitting applications is from March 20 to July 15, 2024. Applications will be submitted to the entry register of the Igualada City Council or the electronic Registry of the City Council if the corresponding digital certificate or electronic signature is available, using the standardized model that appears in the bases, with the documentation indicated, and which can be obtained at the Citizen Services Office of the Igualada City Council and on the website https://tramits.igualada.cat. State that, in accordance with article 14 of Law 39/2015, of October 1, on the Common Administrative Procedure of Public Administrations, electronic presentation is mandatory in the case, among others, of legal persons, entities without legal personality and communities of owners. The submission of the subsidy application presupposes knowledge and acceptance of the rules that regulate it.
