Official description of the call

RESOLUTION NO. 1324/2024 SUBJECT: APPROVAL RULES XIV EDITION OF THE 2024 BULLFIGHTING PHOTOGRAPHY CONTEST Considering that there is credit in the budget application: Culture Awards and Contests 530-334- 2260903 with a budget assigned for the said call for the year 2024 of €600 with RC 220240000377. Considering that the Departments of Bullfighting and Culture Celebrations plan to continue with the traditional photography contest that has been held in 13 previous editions and whose objective is to promote artistic creation among bullfighting fans and the general population as well as the taste for the enjoyment of artistic works by the population. Considering that the photography contest is a good way to encourage creation and artistic hobby in a regulated manner through the rules included below: “RULES OF THE 14th VILA DE PUÇOL 2024 BULLFIGHTING PHOTOGRAPHY CONTEST” 1.- All people who wish may participate, whether they are residents of Puçol or not. 2.- The contest is divided into two categories: Category A, BULLS IN PUÇOL: bullfighting images during the year 2024 (focused on bulls and their presence in the streets or square); Category B, THE CAMERA WAS THERE: images around the bullfighting festival (focused on the atmosphere, the public, details that go unnoticed by the public). 3.- Each author may submit a maximum of three photographs each calendar month, from February to November 2024. If a month is not submitted, these photos cannot be accumulated with other months. 4.- Photographs must be sent in JPG format by email to: fototaurina@pucol.es. Along with the photo, the following information must be included: —Title of the photo —Name of the author —Phone and contact email —Place and date where the photo was taken —Category to which it is entered 5.- It is recommended that contestants send images that measure between 2000 and 5000 pixels on their longest side. You can send more than one photo in each email, although the total size of the email should not exceed 15 megabytes. If in doubt, it is recommended to send each photo in a separate email. 6.- The photos will be published on Som Puçol Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/sompucol/. Fans will be able to view the photos and post comments on them. The organization reserves the right to remove offensive or disrespectful comments. More information regarding Facebook's privacy policy: https://es-es.facebook.com/privacy/policy/ 7.- The selection committee will choose among all the photos presented those that go to the final. 8.- The organization will print the finalists and set up an exhibition at the end of 2024, coinciding with the delivery of the Vila de Puçol bullfighting awards. 9.- The jury will be made up of people from the photographic field and representatives of the Puçol City Council. This Jury will select the winner in each section among the finalists chosen by the committee and exhibited. 10.- The Jury's decision will be final and none of the prizes may be void. 11.- The prizes established for this edition are: Category A, BULLS IN PUÇOL: 300 euros. Category B, THE CAMERA WAS THERE: 300 euros. 12.- Once the exhibition is over, the printed photographs of the finalists can be collected by the authors at the Department of Bullfighting Celebrations (Casa del Bou, Plaza Pío XII). The two winning photos will remain the property of the city council, which reserves all rights over them and their possible publication and/or exploitation, citing their author; taking into account, in any case, the provisions of the Intellectual Property Law. These rights include the exploitation of the awarded works without financial compensation: they can be reproduced, distributed, publicly communicated and transformed into any current medium, format or support. 13.- Photos can be sent from the day after the publication of these rules in the BOP until November 4, 2024. 14.- If after 15 days from the sending of the photos the author verifies that they have not been published on Facebook Som Puçol, participants are recommended to ask by email or by phone, calling 961 421 303. 15.- Photos that have the name printed on them, The signature or any identifying information of the author will be rejected by the organization.
