EDICT APPROVAL OF THE CALL FOR THE XXV NATIONAL PIANO COMPETITION "CIUTAT DE CARLET" 2024 By decree of the Mayor's Office 2024-0770 dated March 12, 2024, the call for the XXV NATIONAL PIANO COMPETITION "CIUDAD DE CARLET" has been approved, and which is reproduced below: «The municipalities in the terms of the article 25.2 of Law 7/1985, of April 2, regulating the bases of local regime, are competent in the promotion of culture and cultural equipment. To participate in the contest you must submit a specific application that can be downloaded at www.carlet.es. from the day after the publication of the call in the Official Gazette of the province, until May 31, 2024. Individuals can present it in person at the Entry Registry of the Carlet City Council from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. or by electronic means through the electronic headquarters of the Carlet City Council (https://carlet.sedelectronica.es/info.0). The winners will be announced at the Conservatory, after deliberation by the jury at the end of the tests in all the categories of the day. In order to hold this Competition, a benchmark within the musical panorama, it is appropriate to call the XXV National Piano Competition “Ciudad de Carlet” 2024. Likewise, in accordance with article 23 of Law 38/2003, November 17, General of subsidies, the call for the granting of subsidies must necessarily have the following content: • Indication of the basic provision and corresponding publication. • Budget appropriations, budget application and amount • Object and purpose of the subsidy • Expression of the type of procedure for granting competitive concurrence • Requirements to request the subsidy and method of accreditation • Instruction and resolution of approval of the call • Deadline for submitting the application • Deadline for resolution and notification • Documents accompanying the request • Possibility or not of reformulation of the applications • Indication of whether or not the resolution puts an end to the administrative route, and if so opposite body against which an appeal can be filed. • Criteria for evaluating applications • Means of notification or publication 1. Indication of the basic provision and corresponding publication This call is governed by the General Subsidies Ordinance approved in a plenary session on January 27, 2022 and its full text published in the Official Gazette of the Province No. 68 on April 7, 2022, the call for which it is proposed to approve. 2. Budget credits, budget application and amount There is sufficient and available appropriation in the amount of 6,600 euros in item 326,480.81 of the current municipal budget called “Piano Competition Prizes” for the payment of prizes. 3. Purpose of the call and requirements of participants The purpose of this contest is to enhance and motivate the artistic activity of students of elementary, professional and higher piano education. Young Spanish pianists or those residing in Spain subject to the courses detailed below may participate. CATEGORY A: Students enrolled in the 3rd or 4th year of Higher Education in the 2023-2024 academic year. It will be an essential requirement not to be over 24 years old on the day of the test. CATEGORY B: Students enrolled in 1st or 2nd year of Higher Education in the 2023-2024 academic year. It will be an essential requirement not to be over 22 years old on the day of the test. CATEGORY C: Students enrolled in 5th or 6th year of Professional Education in the 2023-2024 academic year. It will be an essential requirement not to be over 20 years old on the day of the test. CATEGORY D: Students enrolled in the 3rd or 4th year of Professional Education in the 2023-2024 academic year. It will be an essential requirement not to be over 18 years old on the day of the test. CATEGORY E: Students enrolled in 1st or 2nd year of Professional Education in the 2023-2024 academic year. It will be an essential requirement not to be over 16 years old on the day of the test. CATEGORY F: Students enrolled in 1st, 2nd, 3rd or 4th of Elementary School in the 2023-2024 academic year. It will be an essential requirement to not be over 14 years old on the day of the test.
