Official description of the call
First. Beneficiaries. Natural persons of legal age, of Spanish nationality, nationals of the Member States of the European Union and of the signatory States of the Agreement on the European Economic Area, and foreigners, who meet and prove the following requirements at the time of submitting the application, may access the status of beneficiary of these scholarships. Academic Requirements: All those people who meet any of the following conditions during the application submission period may be applicants: They are enrolled in a degree, official university degree, of 240 “European Credit Transfer and Accumulation System” (hereinafter ECTS), in the academic year 2023-2024 and who have at least 180 ECTS or 75% completed corresponding to the degree they are taking. They are enrolled in a degree, official university degree, of at least 300 ECTS in the academic year 2023-2024 and who have at least 240 ECTS or 80% completed corresponding to the degree they are completing. They are enrolled in a double degree, official university degree, of 300 ECTS or more, in the academic year 2023-2024, and who have at least 240 ECTS or 80% completed corresponding to the degree they are carrying out.They are enrolled in an official University Master's degree during the 2023-2024 or 2024-2025 academic year. General requirements: Any person who meets each of the following conditions may be applicants: Not being in possession or legally able to obtain a Doctorate academic degree. Not having been a beneficiary of a JAE program scholarship. Not having enjoyed aid for a research contract. Requirements relating to the minimum average grade of the academic record: For studies to which Royal Decree 822/2021, of September 28, which establishes the organization of university education and the procedure for ensuring its quality, applies: Accredit an average grade of degree or bachelor's degree, on a decimal scale of 0-10 and with 2 decimals, equal to or greater than 7.50 for all areas of knowledge, except for studies of double degree, those belonging to the fields of cultural industries: design, animation, cinematography and audiovisual production; electrical engineering, electronic engineering and telecommunications engineering; industrial engineering, mechanical engineering, automatic engineering, industrial organization engineering and navigation engineering; computer and systems engineering; chemical engineering, materials engineering and natural environment engineering which will be equal to or greater than 6.50. For studies to which Royal Decree 1393/2007, of October 29, which establishes the organization of official university teachings, applies: Accredit an average grade or bachelor's degree, on a decimal scale of 0-10 and with 2 decimals, equal to or greater than 7.50 for all branches of knowledge, except for double-degree studies and degrees belonging to the branch of knowledge of Engineering and Architecture, which will be equal to or greater than 6.50. Applicants who have not completed their degree studies must prove these average grades for the credits obtained up to the date of submission of their application within the application submission period. Second. Purpose: The initiation of university students into a scientific career in the different global areas of the CSIC (Life, Society and Matter) through 300 scholarships for stays of seven consecutive months, which will begin on the first day of the month once the scholarships have been resolved, and will be enjoyed in the research groups that carry out their work in the different research structures (EI) that the CSIC has, where the scientific and technical activity of the CSIC, research institutes, national centers, interdisciplinary thematic platforms (PTI) and scientific networks. Promoting an approach to the knowledge of current scientific-technical problems and the methods used to resolve them. Third.
