Advertisement. Extract from the Resolution of April 11, 2024, which approves the call for awards for short films within the “XXIII AvilésAcción National Short Film Festival”. First.—Object. The purpose of this call is to regulate the awards that make up the “XXIII AvilésAcción National Short Film Festival”, under a competitive competition regime and in execution of the provisions of the General Municipal Subsidies Ordinance and Law 38/2003, of November 17, General Subsidies. Second.—Sections. The sections are the following: 1. Official Section. The theme will be free; The duration of the work may not exceed 40 minutes, including credits. 2. Asturias Section. The theme will be free; The duration of the work may not exceed 40 minutes, including credits. 3. Documentary Section. Documentary short films of any subject; The duration of the work may not exceed 40 minutes, including credits. 4. Section AA 72hrs. Students from the Avilés Compulsory Secondary Education and Baccalaureate educational centers may attend. They will be short films made in 72 hours, supervised by the festival. You cannot display any type of image or message that encourages discrimination based on birth, sex, religion, race or any other personal or social condition or circumstance. The short films in any of the sections must be presented in a version in Spanish, or in the Asturian language, or with subtitles in Spanish or Asturian language. The applicant will present, along with the short film, a declaration responsible for meeting the requirements set out in article 6 of the General Municipal Subsidies Ordinance and the specific ones indicated in the call. Third.—Deadline for submission of works. The deadline for admission of works will be 30 calendar days from the day following the publication of the call in the BOPA. Fourth.—Regulatory clauses. General Subsidies Ordinance (BOPA No. 106, of June 4, 2019). Fifth.—Amount. The initial budget credit assigned to this call is six thousand euros (€6,000.00) charged to budget application 151/33410/48002 “Short Film Contest Awards” from the Avilés City Council expense budget and with the following breakdown of prizes: — Jury Prize in the Official Section: 1,000 euros. — Audience Award in the Official Section: 700 euros. — Young Prize in the Official Section: 500 euros. — Best Performance Award in the Official Section: 500 euros. — Best Screenplay Award in the Official Section: 400 euros. — Best Direction Award in the Official Section: 400 euros. — Jury Prize in the Asturias Section: 700 euros. — Audience Award in the Asturias Section: 500 euros. — Best Performance Award in the Asturias Section: 400 euros. — Official Jury Prize in the Documentary Section: 500 euros. — Audience Award in the Documentary Section: 400 euros. — Young Avilés Jury AwardAction in 72 hours: Gift voucher. — Avilés Audience AwardAction in 72 hours: Gift voucher. Sixth.—Celebration of the contest and notification of winners. The celebration of the “XXIII National Short Film Festival AvilésAcción” competition will end with the awards ceremony at the gala to be held on October 12, 2024. The winners will be notified of the decision to grant the awards, and they must provide the documentation requested for payment of the prize within 20 business days, and in any case before December 1, 2024.
