Official description of the call
First. Beneficiaries. The following may be beneficiaries of this aid: a) Natural or legal persons, or entities without legal personality, owners of beekeeping operations, including those with shared ownership contemplated in Law 35/2011, of October 4, on shared ownership of agricultural operations, must meet the following requirements: - Have been carrying out the beekeeping activity prior to January 1 of the year of submission of the application, with the exception of those owners who had started the activity at through a change of ownership of farms in registered status prior to that date. In addition, the creation of associative figures or legal entities made up of beekeepers who were beekeepers who were beekeepers before January 1 of the year of submission of the application, or the creation of shared ownership farms in which one of the members was a beekeeper prior to that date, will be exempt from the previous requirement. In the case of mergers of existing operations, the start date of the activity will be considered to be that of the owner with the greatest seniority. - Applicants who meet some of the circumstances set out in article 12.2 and article 12.3 of the Cantabria Law 10/2006, of July 17, on Cantabria Subsidies, may not be beneficiaries of this aid. - Comply with the obligations set out in article 13 of the Cantabria Law 10/2006, of July 17, on Cantabria Subsidies. - Abandoned apiaries and dead hives will not entitle their owner to receive aid. Nor will hives that do not indicate the farm's identification code, those located in settlements not registered in the Registry of Beekeeping Farms of Cantabria, or those that exceed the maximum capacity authorized for each registered settlement be counted as valid. - Justify having carried out at least one treatment per year against varroasis, between the months of September and November of the previous year, in accordance with the provisions of Royal Decree 608/2006, of May 19, which establishes and regulates a National Program for the fight and control of honey bee diseases. - Have civil liability insurance on the date of requesting aid related to the beekeeping activity, which must be documented. - Natural or legal persons owning beekeeping operations who have not made the annual census declaration before March 1 of the current year will not be entitled to the aid. - Comply with the provisions of the beekeeping regulations in force. Specifically, those that have been transhumantly transferred to other Autonomous Communities and the Transfer Program has not been carried out and duly notified to the Competent Authority will not be counted as valid hives for payment purposes, at least one week in advance of the start of the transfer. b) Beekeeping cooperatives and representative organizations with their own legal personality: their members must meet the requirements established in the previous section. Second. Object. Call, for the year 2024, under a competitive competition regime, aid to improve the general conditions of production and marketing of beekeeping products in Cantabria for the year 2024, within the framework of the Beekeeping Sector Intervention included in the National Strategic Plan of the Common Agricultural Policy (CAP) of the Kingdom of Spain 2023-2027. Third. Regulatory bases. Order MED/8/2023, of March 31, published in the Official Gazette of Cantabria No. 74, of April 18, 2023, which regulates the aid regime for beekeeping, within the framework of the beekeeping sectoral intervention, modified by Order DES/4/2024, of February 13, published in the Official Gazette of Cantabria No. 36, of February 20, 2024. Fourth. Amount. The aid called will have a maximum financial allocation of ONE HUNDRED TWENTY THOUSAND EUROS (€122,000.00), which is 50% co-financed by the European Agricultural Guarantee Fund (EAGF) (€61,000), in accordance with the provisions of article 55 of Regulation (EU) 2021/2115, of the European Parliament and of the Council, of December 2, 2021. and article 39 of Commission Delegated Regulation (EU) 2022/126, of December 7, 2021.
