Official description of the call
First. Beneficiaries. Private non-profit entities that have Spanish nationality or have been established in accordance with Spanish law or that, having been established in accordance with the law of a third State, have established headquarters in Spain and have recognized legal capacity in accordance with Spanish law, that have among their statutory purposes the development of activities related to Spanish foreign policy, and that propose to carry out any of the activities referred to in the First section of this resolution, may be beneficiaries, provided that, they meet the other requirements established in this resolution of call, they meet the conditions and experience suitable to guarantee compliance with the object and purpose established in the First section and are not subject to any of the prohibitions established in article 13 of Law 38/2003, of November 17, in the terms provided for in articles 18 to 21, both inclusive, of the Regulation of Law 38/2003, of November 17, approved by Royal Decree 887/2006, of July 21. Second. Object. The purpose of this resolution is to call for subsidies for private non-profit entities for the study, analysis and execution of the priorities of Spanish foreign policy, in accordance with the provisions of Order AEC/415/2018, of April 18, which establishes the regulatory bases for the granting of subsidies, under a competitive competition regime, whose purpose is activities of interest to the development of Spanish foreign policy in the field of competence of the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs and Global. The subsidies called for by this resolution are intended to promote the study, development of thought and analysis of the foreign policy of Spain, Europe and other States and international organizations, as well as the carrying out of activities of civil society in execution of the priority lines of Spanish foreign policy. To this end, a subsidy may be granted for specific projects of the beneficiary entities that are adapted to the purposes and guidelines of Spanish foreign policy. Third. Regulatory bases. Order AEC/415/2018, of April 18 (BOE of April 26, 2018). Room. Amount. These subsidies will be financed for a maximum total amount of 800,000 euros, distributed among all applicants who are beneficiaries. Fifth. Application submission deadline. 15 business days from the day following the publication of this extract in the Official State Gazette. Sixth. Areas of action. In response to the priorities of Spanish foreign policy, without prejudice to the other projects presented by the beneficiary entities, preference will be given to those projects that affect any of the following areas: Security and defense: challenges and perspectives for Spain, European security, NATO and international security. Regional and international conflicts. Transatlantic relations. Spanish foreign policy in the Ibero-American and Caribbean region. The Mediterranean and the Arab world. China and the Indo-Pacific. The foreign action of the European Union. Africa, its challenges and perspectives in the Maghreb, Sahel and sub-Saharan Africa. Identification of areas of cooperation with the Global South. Human rights, rule of law and democracy promotion, gender equality and feminist foreign policy. The challenges of multilateralism in the current international context. The reputation and image of Spain: challenges and perspectives. Global trends, strategic foresight, policy planning and Foreign Action Strategy. The global economic panorama: energy challenges, raw materials markets, global supply flows, the digital economy and geoeconomics. Cybersecurity, hybrid threats and the fight against disinformation.
