Official description of the call
In accordance with the provisions of articles 17.3.b and 20.8.a of Law 38/2003, of November 17, general on subsidies, the extract of the call is published, the full text of which can be consulted in the National Subsidies Database. First. Purpose The purpose of the call is, on the one hand, to stimulate, promote and disseminate literary creation, with the call for the María Roca and Teodoro Llorente literary awards, for young people and adults, and, on the other hand, to promote study, research and the improvement of knowledge about the municipality, with the call for the first biennial Antonio José Cavanilles y Palop Prize for Local Research. Second. Requirements of participants Any person who meets the following requirements may qualify for the prizes and be beneficiaries of them: - Age according to the prizes for which they are presented - Be up to date with fiscal, tax and Social Security obligations. - Not incur any of the assumptions established in article 13.2 and 3 of Law 38/2017, of November 17, general on subsidies. Third. Modalities - María Roca Youth Short Fiction Awards, IV edition • Youth A: For young people from 12 to 14 years old • Youth B: For young people from 15 to 17 years old - Teodoro Llorente Narrative and Poetry Awards, XIX edition • Aimed at people over 18 years old - I Antonio José Cavanilles y Palop Biennial Prize for Local Research, I Edition • Aimed at people over 18 years old Fourth. Technical requirements of the works I. Literary awards a) The works can be presented in any of the two official languages. b) The format should be DIN A4, Times New Roman font, size 12, with one and a half space spacing. c) The works submitted must be original and unpublished and must not have obtained another award or recognition in other literary contests or contests. María Roca Short Narrative Awards Juvenile Juvenile A: The maximum length will be 5 pages Juvenile B: The maximum length will be 7 pages Teodoro Llorente Narrative and Poetry Awards 19th Edition Narrative Prize: The length will not be less than 15 pages nor more than 30 pages Poetry Prize: The length will not be less than 175 verses nor more than 300 verses II. Research Awards I Biennial Antonio José Cavanilles y Palop Award for Local Research This award will initially be presented with the report of a research project (2,000 words), with the following structure: 1) state of the art; 2) objectives; 3) methodology; 4) expected results; 5) schedule and 6) bibliography. After the award of the prize, the winner will have 8 months to complete their research. At the end of this period, you will have to present a detailed report on the project carried out, with a maximum length of 10,000 words. This report will be published by the Pobla de Vallbona City Council in a new collection of books that will begin with the documentation generated from this award, thus contributing to the dissemination of knowledge generated by local research. Fifth. Call The call for the procedure for granting these awards will be published in the National Subsidies Base for subsequent publication in the Official Gazette of the Province of Valencia, as well as on the City Council website, on the municipal notice board, and other means of advertising of this City Council. Sixth. Amount There is a budget allocation for a maximum amount of 5,600.00 euros in budget item 3321.48001 “Subsidies for literary prizes”. Seventh. Deadline for submitting applications The deadline for submitting works will be from the day following publication in the BOP and will end on September 2, 2024.
