Subsidies to city councils in the province of Palencia for the hiring of cultural managers

First.- Beneficiaries All town councils of municipalities in the province of Palencia with a population of less than 20,000 inhabitants and more than 500 inhabitants may apply for this aid: a) Town councils that do not have in their functional staff a culture technician or cultural manager, in charge of organizing, planning and managing any cultural activities carried out in their municipality. b) Town councils that, having a part-time worker on staff, and wishing to increase their hours of service, want to complete their work day with a full-time contract, provided that it is clearly and explicitly allocated to managing and planning cultural activities. Municipalities that, jointly and in anticipation of making costs and services profitable due to geographical proximity, may also benefit from this call can jointly hire a technician or cultural manager who will allow them to attend to the organization and monitoring of the cultural activities planned in their respective municipalities. In this case, the total population of the group of municipalities must be greater than 1,200 inhabitants. Second.- Purpose For the 2024 financial year, subsidies are being called for to city councils of municipalities in the province of Palencia with a population of less than 20,000 inhabitants and more than 500 inhabitants, for the hiring of cultural managers, who stimulate and coordinate the cultural activities carried out in their municipality. This subsidy is included within the measures to achieve Goal 11.4 “Protection of cultural and natural heritage” of the Sustainable Development Goals. Third.- Amount The total amount of the subsidies may not exceed the amount of 40,000 euros. It will be subsidized until the budget limit is exhausted, in accordance with the specified assessment criteria, and the subsidy cannot exceed 50% of the total expense of the activity for which the subsidy was requested, with the city council committing to contribute the remaining amount of the cost. Fourth.- Deadline for submitting applications Applications will be submitted within a period of 15 business days, counting from the day following the publication of the call in the Official Gazette of the Province, extending said deadline until the first following business day, when the last day is a Saturday or holiday. Fifth.- The annexes and other documentation corresponding to this call will be available to interested parties at the electronic headquarters of the Provincial Council of Palencia https://sede.diputaciondepalencia.es
