Official description of the call
EDICT Approved, by Mayor's Resolution No. 2024-0844 of May 16, the Bases, the call and the composition of the jury, for the election of the Queen of the August 2024 Fair of habitual residence or being registered in Xàtiva. Second.- Be over 18 years old. Third.- Express your candidacy by submitting the application to the Entry Registry of the Xàtiva City Council through the electronic headquarters https://xativa.sedelectronica.es/. If you present a candidacy for Queen of the Fair, you will not be able to appear as the lady of another candidate for Queen and vice versa. Fourth.- The application will necessarily include the names, surnames and CIF of the Queen and the Court of Honor of the candidate, made up of 4 women and 5 accompanying persons and who will have to be governed by these same bases. Fifth.- The registration period will end on June 7, 2024, included. No application submitted after the established deadline will be accepted. This period may be extended for special reasons. Sixth.- No academic qualification or any other circumstance that conditions equal opportunities for the women of Xàtiva is required to apply for the position of Queen of the Fair. Seventh.- The Xàtiva City Council will provide financial aid of 3,000.00 euros to the Queen of the Fair and 1,500.00 euros to each of the ladies. These aids are subject to current tax regulations. The accompanying persons will receive the emblem of the city of Xàtiva Octava.- The personal conditions that will distinguish the selected candidate will be determined by the Jury. Likewise, I propose that the composition of the Jury that will act in the election of the Queen of the August 2024 Fair be approved: PRESIDENT:- Mayor or Councilor whom he delegates. MEMBERS:- Spokespersons for the political groups of the Xàtiva City Council or Councilor to whom they delegate. - Queen of the Fair from the previous year. - Two representatives of local entities freely designated by the Department of Festive Culture: - President of the “Tyrius Housewives and Consumers” Association of Xàtiva or person to whom she delegates. - President of the "Local Fallera Board" of Xàtiva or person to whom he delegates. - Responsible for Protocol of the Xàtiva City Council or person to whom they delegate. - Director of the Cultural area. SECRETARY: - Administrative staff of the Department of Festive Culture.
