Official description of the call

First.- Beneficiaries: Municipalities and smaller local entities in the province of Alicante, with a census population (according to data from the last published INE census) less than or equal to 10,000 inhabitants, will be eligible for the Call and each entity may submit a single application. Second.- Purpose: These specific bases, formulated in accordance with the provisions of art. 32 of the General Subsidies Ordinance of the Provincial Council of Alicante, have the purpose of regulating the procedure under a competitive concurrence regime, during the indicated year, of the expenses derived from the execution of the shredding service of pruning and gardening remains, carried out by the municipalities and minor local entities of the province of Alicante, in the exercise of the powers provided for in art. 25.2 and 36.1 of Law 7/1985, of April 2, regulating the Bases of the Local Regime. The service will mainly consist of the shredding of pruning remains and green waste from gardening and agricultural work in municipalities and smaller local entities with a population equal to or less than 10,000 inhabitants. The subsidized actions will be carried out by the beneficiary local entities. Third.- Regulatory bases: General Subsidies Ordinance approved by the Plenary of the Excma. Provincial Council of Alicante (published in BOP no. 118, of May 27, 2005), Basis of Execution of the Budget of the Excma. Provincial Council in force, and specific Bases of the Call. Fourth.- Amount: The subsidies to be granted through the indicated procedure are limited by the existing budget allocation in application 26.1622.4620100 called "Subsidies to municipalities for the management of pruning remains" of the provincial budget for the year 2024, for an amount of €100,000.00. Fifth.- Deadline for submitting applications: In compliance with the provisions of article 17 of Law 38/2008, of November 17, General Subsidies, the deadline for submitting applications will be FIFTEEN WORKING DAYS, counted from the day following the publication of the extract of the call in the Official Gazette of the Province. If the last day of the period is a Saturday, Sunday or holiday, it will be moved to the next business day. Sixth.- Other information: The submission of the application must be made through the electronic headquarters of the Provincial Council of Alicante using the application model that appears in the “electronic processing” section of the reference call.
