Official description of the call
First.- Beneficiaries. Cluster organizations physically and fiscally located in the territorial area of the Principality of Asturias and that meet a series of requirements related to the critical mass, strategic plan, structure and personnel of the cluster. a) Clusters are defined as a group of interrelated companies and institutions, geographically concentrated, that compete in the same business and that generally include companies located at various levels of the value chain and related institutions and organizations. b) Cluster organizations are entities with their own legal personality and non-profit, which bring together small, medium, large companies and start-ups, as well as scientific-technological agents and other entities, of a value chain oriented to an end market or segment thereof and whose objective is to improve the competitiveness of their members, especially SMEs, helping them to jointly address strategic challenges that they could not solve individually. Public administrations and professional associations are expressly excluded from this aid. Second.- Object. The purpose of this call is to regulate the granting of subsidies, by the Asturian Science, Business Competitiveness and Innovation Agency (hereinafter, the Agency) on a competitive basis, to cluster organizations that develop collaboration and/or improvement projects in innovation aimed at their members, for the financial year 2024, as long as they meet the requirements established in this call and its Regulatory Bases. To be eligible, the projects must fall within one of the lines that make up the call for the 2024 financial year: Line 1: Creation of new cluster organizations. Line 2: Dynamization of established cluster organizations. Third.- Regulatory bases. Resolution of August 8, 2022, of the Ministry of Industry, Employment and Economic Promotion, approving the regulatory bases for the granting of subsidies aimed at cluster organizations in the Principality of Asturias (BOPA no. 163 of 24-VIII-2022). Fourth.- Amount. The maximum total amount authorized to finance this call for aid in the year 2024 will be THREE HUNDRED AND FIFTY THOUSAND EUROS (€350,000.00) charged to the Agency's budget, an amount that has been authorized by Resolution of its President dated April 29, 2024. The distribution of the budget of this call is as follows: *Line 1: Creation of cluster organizations: One hundred thousand euros (€100,000.00). *Line 2: Dynamization of established cluster organizations: two hundred and fifty thousand euros (€250,000.00). Exceptionally, an additional amount may be set, estimated at ONE HUNDRED AND SEVENTY-FIVE THOUSAND EUROS (175,000 euros). Fifth.- Deadline for submitting applications. The deadline for submitting applications to the public call for these aid in the current fiscal year 2024 will be from the calendar day following the publication of the extract of the Call Resolution in the Official Gazette of the Principality of Asturias, until 2:00 p.m. (peninsular time in Spain) on September 10, 2024.
