Official description of the call

First. Beneficiaries. People who meet the following requirements may participate in this call: 1. Be over 14 years old. 2. Not be subject to any of the prohibitions to obtain the status of beneficiary included in art. 13 of Law 38/2003, of November 17, General Subsidies. The beneficiary must be up to date with their legal, tax and Social Security obligations. Second. Object. Financial aid is provided for the “Talavera dystopian” short story and poetry contest, in collaboration with the Contrapunto Bookstore-Cafeteria and the Múcaro Banzai Publishing House, with the aim of rewarding the best short stories and poems that cover dystopian themes, understood as the fiction of a future society with negative characteristics that would cause human alienation. The short stories and poems will be written in Spanish and will have to refer in some way to the theme of Talavera Dystopia, understanding that a dystopia is the fictional representation of a future society with negative characteristics that would cause human alienation. The length of the stories will be a minimum of 450 words and a maximum of 900, written in Time New Roman font, size 12, 1.5 line spacing, and the length of the poems will be a minimum of 10 and a maximum of 60 verses. Third. Regulatory bases. Regulatory bases that form part of the full text of the call. Room. Amount of aid. The budget for this call amounts to 1,000 euros. The contest is endowed with the following prizes: a) First prize Story: 100 euros, accrediting diploma and publication in the contest anthology; b) Second prize Story: 50 euros, accrediting diploma and publication of the anthology of the contest; c) Third prize Story: 50 euros, accrediting diploma and publication in the contest anthology; d) First prize Poetry: 100 euros, accrediting diploma and publication in the contest anthology; e) Second prize Poetry: 50 euros, accrediting diploma and publication in the contest anthology; f) Third prize Poetry: 50 euros, accrediting diploma and publication in the contest anthology; g) Top 20 selected, 10 from each category: Book with the publication of the 20 best selected texts; h) I Junior Story Mention: For the best story written by the minor between 14 and 17 years old; Accrediting diploma and publication in the anthology; i) I Junior Poetry Mention: For the best poem written by the minor between 14 and 17 years old. Accrediting diploma and publication in the anthology. Fifth. Application submission deadline. The application submission period will remain open from July 1 to October 31, 2024.
