Official description of the call

First. Beneficiaries These training and internship scholarships are aimed at students of History, Archeology, or Restoration and graduates, graduates and postgraduates of these specialties from any Spanish university, who have completed their studies in the three years prior to the date of publication of the call. Second. Object 1. The objective of the scholarships is that students, graduates and postgraduates of archeology can learn practical skills and professional knowledge related to their university training, taking advantage of the archaeological materials that are extracted from preventive excavations carried out within the framework of projects promoted by the City Council. These tasks will be carried out in accordance with the guidelines and guidance given by the technical tutors of the scholarship program, assigned to the Department of Heritage. The practices and activities that are the subject of these scholarships will be carried out in the Archeology and Heritage Workshop and Laboratory of the Iivissa City Council, located at Aubarca Street, no. 26 of the city of Ibiza and in the municipal offices attached to the department. A total of 300 practical hours will be carried out at a time to be defined, preferably during the months of July to November of the year of the call. 2. Participants will have to meet the following requirements: 1. People who meet the following requirements may be beneficiaries of the scholarships: a) Be of legal age. b) Have Spanish nationality. Foreigners with legal residence in Spain may also apply for the scholarships. c) Students of History, Archeology or Restoration enrolled in any Spanish university. d) Graduates, graduates and postgraduates in the specialties of History and/or Archeology who have completed their studies in the three years prior to the date of publication of the call. Third. Regulatory bases. The regulatory bases for the call for scholarships are published in the Official Gazette of the Balearic Islands (BOIB) No. 58 dated May 2, 2024 (https://www.caib.es/eboibfront/es/2024/11914/seccion-v-anuncios/475). Room. Amount. The global amount of the credit for the payment of the scholarships is €4,000, which will be allocated to item 2024 33600 48100 of the Heritage budget for the year 2024, of the Iivissa City Council. Each of the scholarships is endowed with €2,000 gross, an amount that will be paid to the beneficiary in a single payment, once the 300 practical hours have been completed and the descriptive report of the tasks performed has been submitted. Fifth. Application submission deadline. The deadline for submitting applications will be twenty (20) business days from the day following the publication of this call in the BOIB. If the last calendar day is a Sunday or holiday, the period will be extended until the following business day. The documentation will be published in the National Subsidies Database (BNDS), in the electronic headquarters and on the website of the Iivissa City Council (www.eivissa.es). People interested in participating in the call must submit the application to the General Registry of the Iivissa City Council or through one of the forms provided for in article 16.4 of Law 39/2015, of October 1, on the Common Administrative Procedure of Public Administrations (LPAC), attaching the corresponding documentation.
