S1590 and S1591 Call for 2024 grants aimed at financing development cooperation projects for the promotion of strategic alliances with structurally impoverished countries

Official description of the call

In accordance with the provisions of articles 17.3.b and 20.8.a of Law 38/2003, of November 17, general on subsidies, the extract of the call is published, the full text of which can be consulted in the National Subsidies Database: http://www.pap.minhap.gob.es/bdnstrans/index. First. Beneficiary entities Non-governmental development organizations (NGDOs), and United Nations agencies and their National Committees or organizations that represent them in Spain may benefit from these subsidies, in accordance with current legislation on development cooperation. The entities described in the previous paragraph, to be beneficiaries, will constitute a group without their own legal personality, which will include diverse actors, of a public or private nature from the Valencian Community and the country of execution of the project, with the purpose of jointly promoting a development cooperation project. Second. Object. 1.The purpose of this call is to call for subsidies, under a competitive competition regime and charged to the Budget of the Generalitat Valenciana for the year 2024, for the financing of current and investment expenses, of international development cooperation projects for the promotion of strategic alliances in structurally impoverished countries. 2. The actions to be subsidized in this call will be the following: a) Economic cooperation actions that promote social entrepreneurship to generate new productive activities, create employment and contribute to the reduction of poverty and social cohesion by strengthening the local economic and productive fabric. b) Technical cooperation actions that contemplate long-term associations with professional staff and the beneficiary population of the partner countries, for their qualification, learning, support or continuous training. c) Research actions for development aimed at generating knowledge for the search for innovative and transformative solutions for the territory with a focus on sustainable human development Third. Regulatory bases The bases by which this call is governed are those contained in Order 5/2024 of June 27, 2024, of the Second Vice Presidency and Department of Social Services, Equality and Housing, the regulatory bases for the granting of subsidies aimed at financing development cooperation projects for the promotion of strategic alliances with structurally impoverished countries are approved (DOGV no. 9882, of 1 July 2024). Room. Amount The maximum global amount of this subsidy is 8,000,000 euros, which will be financed from the following subsidy lines, in the Generalitat Budget for the year 2024: a) Line S159000000: “Call for promotion of International Development Cooperation Consortiums for the Promotion of Valencian Strategic Sectors abroad,” endowed with a maximum amount of 6,000,000 euros, in chapter IV, for the financing of current expenses, in the budget application G0116. 0302.GE00000.134A00.48101 b) Line S159100000: “Call for the promotion of International Development Cooperation Consortiums to Promote the Valencian Strategic Sector Abroad,” with a maximum amount of 2,000,000 euros, in Chapter VII, for the financing of capital expenditures, in the budget application G0116. 0302.GE00000.134A00.78101 Fifth. Deadline for submission of applications 1. Applications will be submitted within twenty business days, counting from the day following the publication of the extract of this call in the Official Gazette of the Generalitat Valenciana. In accordance with article 31.1 of Law 39/2015, of October 1, on the common administrative procedure of public administrations, the General Directorate of Inclusion and Development Cooperation will provide assistance for the electronic submission of applications until 3:00 p.m. on the last business day. Failure to comply with the aforementioned deadline will result in exclusion from the call. 2. Each entity may submit a maximum of two applications. Sixth. Other requirements 1. Applications: they will be processed exclusively electronically at the Electronic Headquarters of the Generalitat Valenciana.
