Official description of the call
First.- Applicant Social Entities. Non-profit social entities that cover basic care needs in a constant and continuous manner over time, during the current year, may apply for the subsidy, based on these regulations, to people with limited economic resources and/or at risk of social exclusion in the municipality of Torremolinos and that regularly participate in the definition of any social project that is implemented from this Social Welfare Area. Second.- Object.The object of this call is the granting of aid to Associations with Social Purposes that serve people and families who are in a situation of social vulnerability, that develop their social actions in the area of the municipality of Torremolinos as well as that these actions are developed throughout the year and not punctually. During the year 2024. The purpose of this aid is to collaborate with social entities of the Third Sector whose objective is to improve the living conditions of people and families in Torremolinos who are in situations of vulnerability, risk or social exclusion, by addressing basic needs in relation to food, housing, energy poverty, etc. Eligible expenses will be considered those that undoubtedly respond to the nature of the subsidized activities, and are carried out within the period established in this call: Expenses related to the needs detected. The aid will cover up to 100% of the cost of the following expenses: Expenses related to the purchase of food and basic necessities or the acquisition of wallet cards or their recharges. Expenses related to energy poverty: payment for supplies (electricity, gas and water), acquisition and replacement of appliances, lamps and light bulbs, repair of breakdowns and necessary reforms. Expenses related to housing: expenses derived from solving housing problems such as the payment of short stays in hostels, payment of monthly housing rental payments, expenses of establishing a new housing rental, acquisition by the entity of a rental home(s) to be used for shared use by several people who require said solution, equipment and basic home renovations. Expenses related to the operation of the entity. The aid will represent up to a maximum of 80% of the cost of the following expenses: The expenses of technical personnel (Social Worker, Educator and/or Social Integrator) that will be accredited through contracting (contract, TC1 and TC2) or through the provision of services by an external company (contract and invoice). Up to 80% of the total cost. The operating and maintenance expenses of the headquarters of the requesting entity. Regarding water, electricity and rental supplies. Up to 50% of the total cost. The expenses budgeted in the entity's program that are necessary to rationally carry out the scheduled and approved activity, such as material expenses, publications, dissemination or others. Up to 30% of the total cost. Third.- Regulatory bases. Ordinance number 90 of the Torremolinos City Council, which establishes the regulatory bases for the granting of Aid to Associations with Social Purposes, initially approved on September 30, 2022 and published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Málaga No. 208, dated March 10, 2023. Fourth.- Amount. The maximum amount intended to finance this call will amount to 65,000.00 euros, charged to budget application 23110.48000 of the current budget of the Torremolinos City Council. The aid granted by the Torremolinos City Council in accordance with these bases may reach up to 100% of the total cost of the activity to be subsidized. The criterion to be used for the distribution of the budgetary credit available in this call, being €65,000.00, (Y€) will be carried out in proportion to the expenses justified or to be justified that are accredited by the requesting social entities and that meet the requirements demanded in these regulatory bases.
