Official description of the call
By Agreement of the Island Government Council, held in an extraordinary session, on August 14, 2024, the “CALL FOR SUBSIDIES OF THE COUNCIL OF THE PRIMARY SECTOR, FOOD SOVEREIGNTY AND WATER SECURITY OF THE COUNCIL OF GRAN CANARIA FOR THE MAINTENANCE AND BREEDING OF CERTAIN LIVESTOCK SPECIES, PERIOD 2024-2027”. Against the publication of the aforementioned Agreement, which exhausts the administrative route, an Optional Appeal for Reinstatement may be filed before the Island Government Council, within a period of ONE (1) MONTH counting from the day following its publication in the Official Gazette of the Province, or failing that, and within a period of TWO (2) MONTHS, counted in the same way, directly file a Contentious-Administrative Appeal before the Court of the Contentious-Administrative Court of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria. In the case of Public Administrations, instead of the indicated Administrative Appeal referred to in the previous paragraph, they may formulate, before the same Body indicated above and within the period of TWO (2) MONTHS, the Prior Request referred to in article 44 of the current Law of the Contentious-Administrative Jurisdiction, and failing that, within the same period, directly file a Contentious-administrative Appeal before the Court of the Contentious-Administrative of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria. Recipient: Beneficiaries may be natural or legal persons, owners of livestock farms located in Gran Canaria. Purpose: The purpose of this call is to regulate the procedure for granting subsidies under competitive competition for different strategic actions with the aim of obtaining an improvement in the conditions of production and transformation of certain livestock productions (Objective 1.7.- Improvement of the competitiveness of farms, Strategic Line: Reduce the costs of the means of production by promoting complementarity between subsectors of the Strategic Plan of the Primary Sector of Gran Canaria).
