Official description of the call
In accordance with the provisions of articles 17.3.b and 20.8.a of Law 38/2003, of November 17, 2003, General Subsidies, the extract of the call is published, the full text of which can be consulted in the National Subsidies Database (http://www.pap.minhafp.gob.es/bdnstrans/GE/es/convocatorias): First. Purpose and object of the Contest The purpose of the Contest, in which banda music is the protagonist as part of the Valencian intangible cultural heritage, is to promote, protect and disseminate this type of music and encourage competition between participating musical societies to encourage the study and search for excellence in musical performance. The purpose of this call is to grant prizes to the winning musical societies of the Contest in its different sections, in accordance with the provisions of article 1.2.2 of the OGS. Second. Participants and requirements Music bands dependent on the federated musical societies of the province of Valencia that meet the following requirements may participate in this Contest: Sections For the purposes of their participation, four sections are established: First Section: It will include those bands that appear at the Contest with a number of members that does not exceed 90 places. Second Section: It will include those bands that appear at the Contest with a number of members that does not exceed 70 places. Third Section: It will include those bands that appear at the Contest with a number of members that does not exceed 50 places. Fourth Section: It will include those bands that appear at the Contest with a number of members that does not exceed 40 places. Registration right Music bands may register with an unlimited number of federated members belonging to the music bands. From the calculation of places in each band, the director and the flag bearer will be excluded. The number of participating bands is limited, according to the different categories, to: First: 3 bands Second: 3 bands Third: 3 bands Fourth: 3 bands In each section, a minimum of two registered bands will be required for the competition in that section to be held. Dates and venue The Contest will be held on March 29 and 30, 2025, at the Palau de la Música de València. Requests for participation, addressed to the president of the Provincial Council, will be presented in all cases by a legal representative of the entity at the Electronic Headquarters of the Provincial Council of Valencia (www.sede.dival.es), in the citizen folder. In these, it will be responsibly declared that the entity is not subject to any of the prohibitions to obtain the status of beneficiary, provided for in article 13 LGS and in article 6 of the OGS. The deadline for submitting applications will be 15 business days from the day following the publication of the extract of the call in the BOP. In the event that several applications are submitted within the deadline, the last one submitted will be deemed valid. In the application for participation, the name and composer of the freely chosen work must be indicated. Third. Regulatory bases The General Subsidy Ordinance of the Provincial Council of Valencia (approved by the Plenary Session of 03/28/2023 and published in BOP No. 107 of 06/05/2023). Room. Financing and amount The Provincial Council of Valencia will finance the expenses derived from the celebration of this Contest, which amount to the amount of 98,100 euros euros, in charge of the following budget applications, distributed as follows: For prizes and participation of the music bands and compensation of members of the Jury, the expense amounts to 98,100 euros euros: • 320 33409 482.00 (66,000 euros euros), payment for participation to the competing bands. • 320 33409 481.00 (20,000 euros), payment of prizes to the winning bands. • 320 33409 226.06 (12,100 euros), payment of compensation to the four members of the Jury. All of them from the 2025 budget, subject to the existence of adequate and sufficient credit in said Budget. Fifth. Submission period The application submission period will be 15 business days from the day following the publication of the extract of the call in the BOP.
