Official description of the call
First. Beneficiaries: Individuals who are between 16 and 29 years old, and who reside in Mataró, may apply for the call. When it comes to a project presented by a group, it must be taken into account that all members must be between 16 and 29 years old, and the majority of members must reside in Mataró. Second. Purpose: The purpose of the call is the following: Give visibility to the local scene of urban youth culture. Offer an exhibition space for proposals from young emerging urban music artists or those in the process of professionalization. Offer support to the people participating in the project, promoting their self-management and autonomy as much as possible. Organize a reference event for urban youth culture in a collaborative way between young people, entities linked to the project and the Mataró City Council. Third. Regulatory bases: The text of the Bases can be consulted on the City Council website: www.mataro.cat. Room. Amount: Category A - Showcases: a two-hour consultation by teachers from the Mataró Municipal Music School, a 20-minute musical performance at the Block Party 2025 (May 31 during the afternoon and evening) and a prize of 150 euros. Three showcase projects will be selected. The two-hour advice provided by teachers from the Mataró Municipal Music School will be in the nature of an in-kind subsidy with a financial valuation of 196.02 euros. In the event that an artist or group that has already participated in previous editions of the Block Party in a showcase, may re-submit to this category, but the candidacy will only be taken into account if there are empty places. Category B – Featured performance: a two-hour consultation by teachers from the Mataró Municipal Music School, a 40-minute musical performance at the Block Party 2025 (May 31 during the afternoon, evening and night) and a prize of 500 euros. The two-hour advice provided by teachers from the Mataró Municipal Music School will be in the nature of an in-kind subsidy with a financial valuation of 196.02 euros. In the event that an artist or group that has already participated in previous editions of the Block Party in an outstanding performance, may choose to apply for this category, but the candidacy will only be taken into account if there are empty places. Fifth. Deadline for submission of applications: The Mataró City Council will provide a dossier with the corresponding documentation for the presentation of proposals, which can be registered electronically, using the Document Entry Registry of the Electronic Headquarters (https://seu.mataro.cat) of the Mataró City Council. They may also be presented in person at the Citizen Service and Assistance Offices. An appointment will not be necessary at the Plaza de la Muralla 21 office, but it will be necessary at the rest of the offices (check locations and schedules at www.mataro.cat). The deadline for submitting proposals will be from February 24 to March 10, 2025, both days included.
