Awards from the Peace and Justice Chair of the University of Alicante, for the best academic works linked to inclusion and diversity within the framework of SDG No. 16 peace, justice and solid institutions

Official description of the call

First. Purpose: The purpose of this call is the granting, on a competitive basis, of prizes for final degree projects (TFG), final master's degree (TFM) or doctoral thesis, which analyze, study or reflect on processes that promote peaceful, diverse and inclusive societies for sustainable development, that facilitate access to justice for all or that promote the creation of effective, responsible and inclusive institutions at all levels, within the framework of the SDG #16. Second. Beneficiaries: Have defended the final degree project (TFG), the final master's thesis (TFM) or doctoral thesis at a public university in the Valencian Community, during the period between March 15, 2024 and the final date for submitting applications. Have obtained a minimum grade in the defense of: Outstanding Cum Laude, for the doctoral thesis award, and 8 out of 10, for the TFG or TFM award. Be the holder of a bank account in Spain. Not having won a prize in previous editions. Third. Regulatory bases: The regulatory bases and call are published jointly in the Official Gazette of the University of Alicante on February 24, 2025, at the following URL: https://www.boua.ua.es/Agreements/DescargarAtrabajo/56661 Cuarto. Amount: The amount of this call is a maximum of 4,500 euros. TFG: endowed with a prize of €600; and a second prize, €400. TFM: endowed with a prize of €800; and a second prize of €700. Doctoral Thesis: endowed with a prize, €1,200 and a second prize of €800. The corresponding withholding for work performance (IRPF) will be applied to the prizes, according to current legislation. Fifth. Application submission deadline: The call will be published in the BOUA for information purposes, prior to the publication of the extract in the DOGV. Applicants for the award will submit, exclusively electronically, a single application and the required documents, within a period of 15 business days from the day following the publication of the extract of this call in the DOGV. Sixth. Other information: Award criteria (maximum 10 points): The allocation of prizes and runners-up will be carried out following the scoring criteria established in this point and will be conditional on obtaining a minimum of 6 points. The awards will be declared void if none of the works presented meet the sufficient score established in this article. The criteria for awarding the prizes will be the following: For the content of the academic work, doctoral thesis, TFG or TFM. Maximum 8 points. For academic qualification: Maximum 2 points. In the event of a tie, the alphabetical order of the first surname of the applicants will be used, starting the order with the letter "V" in accordance with the result of the draw referred to in the General Regulations for the Entry of Personnel to the Service of the State Administration, published in the BOE of July 31, 2024.
