Official description of the call
First. Beneficiaries. 1. The Cantabria City Councils that during the months of February to June place authorized traps with selective attractant against the Vespa velutina nigrithorax and carry out their periodic review and control may be beneficiaries of the aid called. 2. Entities in which some of the circumstances included in sections 2 and 3, of article 12, of the Cantabria Law 10/2006, of July 17, on Cantabria Subsidies, may not be considered beneficiaries. Second. Object. Call for aid by 2025, on a competitive basis, to encourage the adoption of preventive measures against the Asian wasp through selective queen trapping practices. Third. Regulatory bases. Order MED/4/2020, of February 28, which establishes the bases of an aid regime for municipalities that adopt prevention measures against the Asian wasp (Vespa velutina nigrithorax), published in the Official Gazette of Cantabria No. 49 of March 11, 2020. Fourth. Amount. 1.The granting of these aids will be financed exclusively from the credits entered in the budget application 05.06.456C.462 (Control and eradication of invasive exotic species) up to a maximum of 100,000 euros, from the General Budgets of the Autonomous Community of Cantabria for the year 2025. Subsidies may be granted for the expenses inherent to the execution of practices authorized selective trapping, both for the purchase of material or product and labor, with the following amounts: Justified expenses up to 5,000 euros: 100%. The maximum amount of aid per beneficiary will be 5,000 euros, with an estimated cost of €40/trap. Fifth. Application submission deadline. 1. Applications signed by the corresponding applicant or, where applicable, by their legal representative will be addressed to the General Directorate of Forests and Biodiversity. For these purposes, they may be presented in the electronic records established in article 134.8 of the Law of Cantabria 5/2018, of November 22, on the Legal Regime of the Government, the Administration and the Institutional Public Sector of the Autonomous Community of Cantabria. 2. Applications may be submitted from the day following the publication of the extract of the call in the Official Gazette of Cantabria until August 31, 2025, inclusive.
