Order APA/379/2023, of April 8, published in the “Official State Gazette” number 93, of April 19, which establishes the regulatory bases for the granting of the Spanish Food Awards, states in its article 4.1 that the head of the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food will announce the awards by publishing them in the National Subsidies Database (http://www.pap.minhafp.gob.es/bdnstrans) and an extract of it in the Official State Gazette. First. Object and modalities. The Food of Spain Best Wines Award, 2025, is aimed at promoting wines that belong to any of the Spanish Protected Designations of Origin (DOP) and Protected Geographical Indications (PGI) recognized by the European Union, whose manufacturing company has its main headquarters located within the national territory and that have obtained the best score in the Bacchus 2025 International Wine Competition. Modalities: a) Food of Spain Best Wines Award Red Wine. b) Food of Spain Award for Best White Wine. c) Food of Spain Award for Best Rosé Wine. d) Food of Spain Award for Best Sparkling Wine. e) Food of Spain Award for Best Liqueur Wine. Second. Wines admitted to the competition. For each of the modalities indicated in the previous section, only wines covered by Spanish DOPs and PGIs recognized by the European Union that comply with current legislation and that have obtained the five best scores will be admitted to the competition in the Bacchus 2025 International Wine Competition organized by the Spanish Union of Tasters. Third. Regulatory bases. Order APA/379/2023, of April 8, which establishes the regulatory bases for the granting of the Spanish Food Awards. Room. Deadline and form of presentation. The candidates for the award must submit, within a period of twenty business days from receipt of the communication from the instructing body as indicated in point 2 of the third section of the Order of March 13, 2025 of the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food by which the Food of Spain Best Wines Award is announced, year 2025, annex I (application model), annex II (responsible declaration) and a report in accordance with the contents specified in annex III included in the mentioned Order.
