Official description of the call
BDNS (Identification): _______ First.- Beneficiaries Any artist over 18 years of age may apply. Given the nature of the prize, to qualify for it it is not necessary to prove compliance with the requirements of article 13 of Law 38/2003, of November 17, General Subsidies in accordance with the provisions of art. 38.38 of the Budget Execution Bases. Academic staff linked to the convening Institution will not be able to participate in any award, in accordance with the provisions of arts. 10 to 14 of the Statutes of the Autonomous Body ¿Institute of Giennenses Studies¿. Second.- Purpose On the occasion of the celebration of the XXXIX Emilio Ollero Jaén Painting Prize 2025, these rules that will regulate the procedure for its award are approved in order to promote and encourage culture through artistic creation as well as disseminate knowledge and the arts. The award procedure will be carried out on a competitive basis and applying the principles of publicity, transparency, objectivity, equality and non-discrimination, in the following modalities: 1.- First Prize. 2.- Second Prize. 3.- Two second prizes. Third.- Regulatory Bases Bases for Execution of the Budget of the Provincial Council of Jaén and its Autonomous Bodies for the year 2025 (BOP number 250 of 12/30/2024). Fourth.- Artistic works The works presented must have the following characteristics: * They will be of a free theme, in a format of a minimum of 1 m. x 0.80 m., and maximum 2 m. x 2m. of measurement, duly framed with baton. * Each contestant may submit a work, either as a unit or as a group, which must be signed by the author in any place on the table that the interested party decides. * The pictorial work will be presented with the appropriate packaging that facilitates its use in the possible return of the work to its author, with the Giennenses Studies Institute being responsible for the costs of returning it. Fifth.- Amount The Jury will select: ¿ A work for the First Prize, with a financial award of 10,000 ¿, and the legally applicable taxes and/or withholdings will be applied. ¿ A work for the Second Prize, with a financial prize of 5,000 ¿, and the taxes and/or withholdings that legally correspond will be applied. ¿ A work for each of the runners-up, with a prize of 2,000 ¿, and the taxes and/or withholdings that legally correspond will be applied to each one of them. The awards will be financed from the budget application 2025.160.3340.48102 of the Budget of the Institute of Giennenses Studies of the Provincial Council of Jaén Sixth.- Deadline for submission of applications and documentation The deadline for submission of applications will begin the day after the publication of the call in the Official Gazette of the Province, ending on September 5, 2025. The application must be accompanied along with the following documentation: Application model (Annex I). Photography of the work in digital format (JPG or PDF). Photocopy of DNI (valid). Curriculum vitae. ¿ Information about the work, which must include year of creation, technique used, measurements, as well as exact position to hang it. Seventh.- Other data of interest -Information on the protection of personal data In application of Organic Law 3/2018, of December 5, on the Protection of Personal Data and guarantee of digital rights, and Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and the Council, of April 27, 2016, relating to the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of their personal data and the free circulation of these data, the Interested parties will have at their disposal the information on the protection of personal data and the exercise of rights available in the application itself Annex I. -Compatibility or incompatibility: The financial amount of this prize is compatible with any other subsidies, aid, income or resources from any public administrations or entities, public or private, national, the European Union or international organizations that may be granted to the beneficiary after the granting of these prizes. -Rights of publication and dissemination The Institute of Giennensian Studies reserves the rights of publication, distribution, retransmission, radio broadcasting or recording through any system
