ISLAND COUNCIL OF TENERIFE ISLAND COUNCIL OF RESEARCH, INNOVATION AND DEVELOPMENT Extract from the Agreement of March 19, 2025, of the Island Government Council of the Hon. Island Council of Tenerife, which approves the call for the subsidy line for the hiring and training of doctors in companies (industrial doctorates), 2025 – 2028 First.- Object and purpose. The purpose of these bases is to establish the rules that must govern the granting of the subsidy for the signing of predoctoral contracts between the entities that are beneficiaries and the researchers who are enrolled in official doctoral programs of public universities. The purpose of these subsidies is to promote the implementation of industrial research projects in which a doctoral thesis is framed, in order to promote the employment of research personnel, from the beginning of their professional career, promoting scientific and technical progress in priority sectors for the island of Tenerife. These priority sectors are those established in the current Tenerife Innovation Master Plan (hereinafter, PDI): - Astrophysics, space and aeronautics. - Audiovisual and creative industries. - Connectivity. - Digitalization and artificial intelligence. - Blue economy. - Energy. - Health and biotechnology. - Sustainability. Second.- Requirements to apply for the subsidy and how to accredit them. They may be beneficiaries of the subsidies regulated in these bases: The beneficiary entities of the subsidy may be companies (a single company may only be a beneficiary of the aid for a maximum of two contracts), including spin-off companies, based on the island of Tenerife, whose activity fits into one of the priority sectors of the PDI listed above. Compliance with the requirements will be accredited by submitting the documentation listed in Annex I of the Rules that govern this call. Third.- Award procedure The beneficiary entities of the subsidy may be companies (a single company may only be a beneficiary of the aid for a maximum of two contracts), including spin-off companies, based on the island of Tenerife, whose activity fits into one of the priority sectors of the PDI listed above. Fourth.- Budget credit. The budgetary credit for this call is FIVE HUNDRED AND SIXTEEN THOUSAND EUROS (€516,000.00), charged to budget application 1101-4632-47000, distributed in the following annuities: First annuity 2025: €120,000.00 Second annuity 2026: €132,000.00 Third annuity 2027: €132,000.00 Fourth annuity 2028: €132,000.00 Fifth.- Competent bodies for investigation and resolution. The instruction of the procedure corresponds to the head of the Innovation Administrative Service, who must carry out ex officio any actions he deems necessary for the determination, knowledge and verification of the data by virtue of which the resolution granting the subsidies must be pronounced. The procedure for granting these subsidies will be resolved by the Island Councilor for Research, Innovation and Development of the Hon. Island Council of Tenerife, in accordance with the provisions of its Organic Regulations, as well as the Budget Execution Bases for the current financial year. Sixth.- Application submission deadline. The deadline for submitting applications will be from the day following the publication of the extract of the call in the Official Gazette of the Province until September 15, 2025. Seventh.- Resolution deadline. The period to resolve and notify the resolution of the procedure for granting subsidies will be a maximum of SIX (6) MONTHS, counted from the date of end of the application submission period. Eighth.- Justification period. The deadline to justify the subsidy granted will be until July 31 of each year. Ninth.- Documentation and information that must accompany the request. The applications will be formalized in the official model specifically prepared by the Island Council of Tenerife and will be accompanied by the documentation listed in Annex I of the bases that govern this convo.
