Official description of the call
FIRST.- Object and scope of application The object of these specific bases and call is to promote scientific and technological creativity and the attitude of research and innovation of the students of the secondary education centers of L'Hospitalet (Baccalaureate), within the framework of the 25 Scientific and Technological Conferences of Baccalaureate of L'Hospitalet. The purpose of which corresponds to the following strategic objectives established in the Strategic Subsidy Plan 2023-2025, the subsidy line(s), the management area and, within this, the management service indicated: STRATEGIC OBJECTIVE: OE7. Promote, recognize and reward actions of social, cultural, scientific or economic value linked to L'Hospitalet de Llobregat carried out by people and social agents; GRANT LINE: OE7.01. Awards, scholarships and recognitions from L'Hospitalet, where the Scientific and Technological Conferences are held; MANAGEMENT AREA: Transforming City; MANAGEMENT SERVICE: Education SECOND.- Requirements of the beneficiaries. High school students can participate in this competition, individually or in teams, from the public and subsidized secondary education centers of Hospitalet, presenting the Research Work that they have carried out during the 2024-2025 academic year, and which must be tutored by a teacher. Each student or work team can only carry out one project. Each educational center may present a maximum of seven works, and it is necessary that the format of the works be presented in digital format. The tutors of the projects will have to submit the work completed in digital format, before Friday, April 11, 2024, at 11:59 p.m., they can do it electronically through the City Council website, and following the instructions that you will find in the following procedure: 'L'Hospitalet de Llobregat Baccalaureate Scientific and Technological Conferences' Competition, and must indicate: It must be addressed to the Education Service of the People Services Area in order to participate in the 25 L'Hospitalet Baccalaureate Scientific and Technological Conferences. The list of materials that are presented with each job (USB, CD, DVD, video, etc.). THIRD.- Regulatory bases Particular bases approved by the Local Government Board, in session AJT/JGL/6/2025 of February 19, 2025 and published in the BOPB dated February 27, 2025. FOURTH.- Prizes The prizes will be awarded to the best research and innovation work carried out by high school students who have participated in the contest. A total of 7 first prizes of €500 each and 4 second prizes of €250 are established, distributed as follows: 1. A prize for the best work in the city area.2. An award for the best work in the field of equality3. An award for the best work in the sustainability field4. A first and a second prize for works in the experimental field5. A first and a second prize for works in the technological field6. A first and a second prize for works in the field of expression7. A first and a second prize for works in the social field Each field will have a prize reserved as long as the participation and quality of the works is significant. Otherwise, the prizes may be declared void. A special prize of 500 euros will also be awarded to one of the participating educational centers. In granting this prize, the effort and continuity in the collective participation of the centers, the quality of the works presented and the effectiveness in achieving the objectives of this call will be taken into account. The list of selected and awarded works will also be taken into account. Likewise, the Jury may make any honorable mentions it deems appropriate, mentions that will not entail a financial award. FIFTH.- Execution period The deadline for registration and presentation of Baccalaureate projects will open the day after the approval of these bases by the competent body of the City Council and the deadline will be Friday, April 11, 2025, at 11:59 p.m. The awards ceremony will be held within the framework of the celebration of the 25th Scientific and Technological Conference of Baccalaureate of L'Hospitalet.
