Official description of the call
First. Beneficiaries Companies (legal entities and self-employed persons) and non-profit institutions whose sole or other activity is the publishing of cultural magazines may apply for these subsidies. The entities, legally constituted at the time of requesting aid, must have tax residence in Spain in order to guarantee that the subsidized magazine has effective distribution among readers of the publishing language and that, in this way, the objectives of the call are met. Non-profit institutions may have a national or international statutory scope, with those that have an exclusively regional or local scope being automatically excluded. The applicant entities may not be subject to any of the prohibitions provided for in article 13 of Law 38/2003, of November 17, General Subsidies, nor be debtors for reimbursement of subsidies in the terms established in article 21 of the Regulation of the aforementioned standard, approved by Royal Decree 887/2006, of July 21. Communities of property, groups of natural or legal persons, public or private, as well as other entities without legal personality are expressly excluded from this call. Second. Purpose The purpose of these subsidies is the promotion and dissemination of Spanish cultural magazines with national projection and limited commercial scope that contribute to the enrichment of the Spanish bibliographic heritage, written in any of the official Spanish languages. This call is intended for the edition of the issues corresponding to the year 2025, according to the periodicity of each magazine. It will be understood that publications belonging to the field of culture, regardless of the medium in which they are published, are those dedicated, among others, to any of the following subjects - Literature and linguistics. - Plastic arts, performing arts, music. - Design, photography, audiovisual creation, cinematography. - History, geography, architecture. - Philosophy, social, legal and political sciences and criticism of culture. Third. Regulatory bases The regulatory bases by which this aid is governed were established through Order CUL/2912/2010, of November 10, published in the BOE number 275, dated November 13, 2010. Fourth. Amount The maximum amount of the subsidies called will be 700,000 euros, in favor of companies and 300,000 euros, for non-profit institutions that publish Quinto magazines. Deadline for submission of applications Fifteen business days counted from the day following the publication of the extract of the call in the B.O.E. Sixth. Other information This subsidy is compatible with other aid from organizations or institutions, public or private, for the same activity, provided that its amount is such that, alone or in conjunction with other subsidies, it does not exceed 100% of the cost of the edition or production of the magazine. No more than 50% of the publication cost of the magazine may be financed under this call, meaning the sum of the costs incurred by the entity in the editing or production, distribution and marketing of the magazine. The remaining 50% must necessarily be financed from the publisher's own funds or through other public or private aid.
