Official description of the call
First. Beneficiaries Legal and natural persons (self-employed) whose activity and corporate purpose, solely or among others, is the publishing of books, may apply for these subsidies. Likewise, foundations, non-profit entities, as well as public entities, communities of property, groups of natural or legal persons, public or private, as well as other entities without legal personality are excluded. Second. Purpose Subsidies are being called for the year 2025, on a competitive basis, to promote the translation of books between languages of the Spanish State, and their subsequent publication by the beneficiary publisher. These works must be literary, classic and contemporary, scientific, and part of the cultural heritage of Spain. The work to be translated must already be published in any of the official languages of Spain, as well as those others with legal recognition in the statutes of autonomy of the Autonomous Communities, and be written by a Spanish author. The same applicant may not request help for more than three projects. Third. Regulatory bases The regulatory bases by which this aid is governed were established through Order CUL/2912/2010, of November 10, published in the BOE number 275, dated November 13, 2010. Fourth. Amount The amount of the subsidies called will be, at most, 200,000 euros. Fifth. Deadline for submitting applications Fifteen business days counted from the day following the publication of this extract of the call in the Official State Gazette. Sixth. Other information The grant obtained must be used exclusively to cover the costs of translation of the work presented. This subsidy is compatible with other aid for translation from other organizations or institutions, public or private, as long as the amount of said contribution is such that, alone or in conjunction with other subsidies, it does not exceed 100% of the cost of the subsidized translation.
