Official description of the call
First. Beneficiaries: Legal or natural persons (self-employed) who meet the following requirements: having the sale of books as their main activity; have a physical establishment, open to the general public; be independent bookstores, understood as those businesses dedicated to the sale of books that have up to five establishments and whose publishing offering is a consequence of their autonomous decision; physically have in the establishment, available to the public, an offer of titles equal to or greater than 3,000, or, in the case of bookstores specialized in a specific subject, equal to or greater than 1,500. Second. Purpose: Projects for the cultural revaluation and modernization of bookstores, to improve their competitiveness, incorporate digitalization into their management processes and programs, and make them more environmentally sustainable, through, among others: the acquisition of equipment or internal management programs for bookstores and web management, the implementation of digital marketing, the transformation into “green bookstores”, or the execution of works to improve the cultural space. Third. Regulatory bases: Order CUL/2912/2010, of November 10, which establishes the regulatory bases for the granting of public subsidies under a competitive competition regime of the Ministry of Culture and its public organizations. Room. Amount: The amount of the subsidies called will be, at most, 500,000 euros. Fifth. Deadline for submitting applications: Fifteen business days from the day following the publication of this extract in the BOE.
