Official description of the call
First. Beneficiary entities and requirements: The Broad Culture grants are aimed at legally constituted, non-profit entities that can accredit the cultural and artistic purpose in their statutory objectives. In the case of modality a. Subsidies for cultural activities complementary to the municipal offer are also eligible for companies that can accredit the cultural and artistic purpose in their statutory objectives. Applicant entities or companies must comply with points 5 and 6 of the regulatory bases of the subsidy. The scope of action of the requesting entities and the activity presented will be the municipal area of the city of Girona. Second. Purpose: Open the call, for the year 2025, for the Broad Culture Subsidies. The purpose of these bases is to regulate the Broad Culture subsidy, for cultural activities complementary to the municipal offer or with inclusive purposes and social action. These subsidies are intended to support cultural, promotional and exhibition activities in the field of performing arts, musical arts, visual arts, audiovisual arts, literature, popular and traditional culture and cultural heritage. These activities must be carried out in the city of Girona and must be open to all citizens. Both new and specific activities and ongoing activities can be subsidized. In any case, each applicant entity or company may only present one project per call. Within the framework of this aid, the following modalities are established: Complementary cultural activities in the municipal offer. Cultural activities with inclusive purposes and social action. Third. Rules and Regulations: The Broad Culture subsidies are regulated by the rules definitively approved in the ordinary session of the Plenary Session on November 14, 2022 and published in the BOP of Girona on January 24, 2023 and modified in the ordinary session of the Plenary Session on March 11, 2024 and published in the BOP of Girona on March 13 and definitively published in the BOP of Girona on the 28th. Amount: The allocation for the Broad Culture subsidies is €115,000, which is financed from the following budget application: 2025 300 33400 48200 – Broad Culture, from the municipal budget for the financial year 2025. In order to attend to a greater number of subsidy applications or to grant a greater amount in subsidies, this credit may be expanded with an additional amount of 10% derived from leftover credits from other calls, credit modifications, etc. The effectiveness of the additional amount will be conditional on the corresponding declaration of credit availability prior to the resolution of the subsidies and approval of the increase in the call. In the event of an increase in the financial allocation, aid will be granted following the order of points established in the resolution. Fifth. Amount of aid: By Modality a. Subsidies for cultural activities complementary to the municipal offer, the amount of the subsidy requested may not be greater than the amount of €10,000 nor less than €1,000 and will be, at most, 50% of the total budget of the project. By Modality b. Subsidies for cultural activities with an inclusive purpose and social action, the amount of the subsidy requested may not be greater than the amount of €5,000 nor less than €1,000 and will be, at most, 70% of the total budget of the project. Sixth. Deadline for submitting applications: The deadline for submitting applications is 15 business days from its publication in the BOP of the call. Seventh. Other information: Form of submission: Companies, entities and associations will have to submit applications, along with the documentation required in the call, electronically through the Seu Electrònica Girona City Council. Natural persons may submit applications, along with the documentation required in the bases.
