Official description of the call
First. Purpose: The purpose of this call is the granting, on a competitive basis, of 3 summer scholarships for initiation into research for undergraduate students offered by the Alicante University Institute of Materials (IUMA) Segundo. Beneficiaries: Students who: · are in the third or fourth year of their degrees in Chemistry, Physics, Chemical Engineering or another degree related to Materials Science, enrolled both at the University of Alicante and at other universities, may apply for one of these scholarships. Third. Regulatory bases: The regulatory bases and call are published jointly in the Official Gazette of the University of Alicante on April 17, 2025, at the following URL: https://www.boua.ua.es/Agreements/DescargarAtrabajo/58423 Cuarto. Amount: The amount of this call is a maximum of 2,250 euros. A maximum number of 3 scholarships will be awarded, distributing the allocation, up to a maximum of €750 (gross) each. Fifth. Application submission deadline: The call will be published in the BOUA for information purposes, prior to the publication of the extract in the DOGV. The application submission period will begin on the day following the publication of the extract of the call in the DOGV and will end on May 12, 2025. Sixth. Other information: Award criteria: 1. Award criteria: the candidate's educational suitability, academic record and expressed expression of interest will be assessed. If the candidate's training is not adequate, that is, their studies do not correspond to those indicated in point 2, they will be excluded from call 2. Calculation Formula: Average grade of the file*0.80 (Average grade of the file equal to or greater than 6.5) + Expression of interest and personal interview*0.20. 3. Weighting: the evaluation of applications will be carried out considering: a. the academic record valued between 0 and 10 points, depending on the average grade (80%). b. the expression of interest and personal interview valued between 0 and 10 points (20%).
