Official description of the call

In accordance with the provisions of articles 17.3 b) and 20.8 a) of Law 38/2003, of November 17, General Subsidies, and in article 16.q) of Law 6/2011, of March 23, of Subsidies of the Autonomous Community of Extremadura, the extract of the call is published, the full text of which can be consulted in the National Subsidies Database https://www.infosubvenciones.es/bdnstrans/A11/es/index and in this DOE. First. Object. 1. Carry out the annual call for aid for the Beekeeping Sector Intervention, within the framework of the Strategic Plan for the Common Agricultural Policy 2023-2027, in Extremadura, in accordance with the regulatory bases established in Decree /2025, which establishes the regulatory bases for the aid for the Beekeeping Sector Intervention, within the framework of the Strategic Plan for the Common Agricultural Policy. 2023-2027. 2. For the purposes of the aid included in this call, the beekeeping campaign will be from August 1, 2024 to July 31, 2025. 3. The following interventions will be eligible for subsidies: Intervention 1. Advisory services, technical assistance, training, information and exchange of best practices, in particular through collaboration activities in networks, for beekeepers and beekeeper organizations and beekeepers. • Action 1.1. Direct full-time hiring of technical staff and specialists. • Action 1.2. Organization, celebration and attendance of training and continuing education courses. Intervention 2. Investments in tangible and intangible assets. Intervention 2.1. Fight invaders and hive diseases, particularly varroosis. • Action 2.1.1. Treatments against varroosis authorized by the Spanish Agency for Medicines and Health Products, selected and applied based on the corresponding veterinary prescription. • Action 2.1.2. Treatments against varroosis authorized by the Spanish Agency for Medicines and Health Products that are compatible with organic beekeeping. • Action 2.1.3 Products to increase the vitality of hives in a state of risk for the survival of the colony, linked to health and climatic factors, in emergency conditions for the hive. • Action 2.1.4 Wax renewal and conditioning. Intervention 2.2. Prevent damage caused by adverse climatic events and promote the development and use of management practices adapted to changing climatic conditions. • Action 2.2.2 Investment expenses in equipment that allows adaptation to adverse climatic phenomena and changing climatic conditions in the beekeeping operation. Intervention 2.3. Repopulate hives in the European Union, in particular by rearing queens. • Action 2.3.1 Investments for queen breeding. • Action 2.3.2 Acquisition of queens and swarms of non-alochthonous species and subspecies to replace casualties. Intervention 2.4. Rationalization of transhumance. • Action 2.4.1 Acquisition, conservation, and improvement of the means of transportation and equipment necessary to facilitate transhumance. Intervention 2.5. Investments in tangible and intangible assets. • Action 2.5.1 Investments and actions aimed at improving the productivity and performance of the hives. • Action 2.5.2 Investments for improvement and conditioning of settlements • Action 2.5.4 Civil liability insurance fee for hives. • Action 2.5.5 Protection systems, anti-theft surveillance (including video surveillance systems) or geolocation of hives. Intervention 3. Actions to provide help to laboratories analyzing bee products, the loss of bees or drops in productivity, and substances potentially toxic to bees. • Action 3.1 Hiring of honey and bee products analysis services by first and second degree cooperatives, which are carried out in laboratories accredited by the ISO 17025 standard or equivalent standard, if it is from another EU country. • Action 3.3 Acquisition of devices, kits and other material for analysis of honey and other bee products. Intervention 6. Promotion, communication and marketing, including market surveillance actions and activities aimed, in particular, at raising consumer awareness about the quality of bee products. • Action 6.1
