Official description of the call
First.- Beneficiaries 1. Merchants' associations, as well as their federations and confederations, registered in the Registry of Merchants' Associations of Cantabria as of December 31, 2024, that are developing activities and have carried out a project in 2024, as well as having planned or carried out actions for 2025, may be beneficiaries of the subsidies called under this call. 2. Retail cooperatives with registered office in Cantabria may also access the same subsidies as merchant associations, provided they are registered in the corresponding registries, under the same conditions as the previous section. Second.- Purpose 1. The purpose of the subsidies is to provide economic assistance to merchant associations, and their federations and confederations, and retailer cooperatives, for the financing of current expenses derived from their normal operation. 2. Eligible expenses will be those that undoubtedly respond to the nature of the subsidized activity, that are necessary for the operation of the entity, and are carried out and paid in the period between May 1, 2024 and until the end date of the application submission period. 3. The current operating expenses necessary to fulfill the purposes of the Merchants' Associations and to carry out their activities will be eligible, among others, those generated by the rental of the social premises (headquarters), the supplies of services such as water, electricity, gas, heating oil, telephone, internet, stationery (the latter with a limit of €100), cleaning or insurance. If several entities share the same premises, common expenses can only be charged to one of them. VAT, interest on debts, late payment interest, surcharges and administrative and criminal sanctions, expenses derived from judicial procedures, financial expenses, personnel expenses including employer contributions to Social Security, per diems, contributions paid to other associations, work contributions from the same entity, visas, connection rights to essential services will not be considered eligible. Expenses on investment goods such as furniture, computer equipment, printers, software, hardware, audiovisual equipment, projection and reproduction equipment, tents for events, electric generators, etc. will also not be eligible expenses. Third.- Amount The maximum amount of aid for each beneficiary entity will be 8,000 euros for the federations and confederations of merchant associations registered in the third section of the Registry of Merchant Associations of Cantabria, and 2,000 euros for the merchant associations registered in the first and second sections of said Registry and the retailer cooperatives. For the purposes of exhausting the available credit, if there is a remainder, the aid may reach a maximum total of 9,600 euros for the federations and confederations of merchants' associations registered in the third section of the Registry of Merchants' Associations of Cantabria, and 2,400 euros for the merchants' associations registered in the first and second sections of said Registry and the retailers' cooperatives. Fourth.- Deadline for submitting applications The deadline for submitting applications and the documentation provided for in section nine of the call order will be 15 business days from the day following the publication of this extract in the Official Gazette of Cantabria.
