Official description of the call
First. Beneficiary entities. Entities that may benefit from the aid, in accordance with the provisions of Article 5 of the call, may be public research organizations, public and private universities, public and private non-profit health entities and institutions, accredited health research institutes, Technology Centers and Support Centers for Technological Innovation, and other public and private non-profit R&D&I centers. Second. Object. The purpose of the aid is to improve the success of Spanish participation in the calls of the European Research Council, in its modalities of "Starting Grants", "Consolidator Grants" and "Advanced Grants", framed in Pillar 1 "Excellent Science" of the European Union Research Framework Program Horizon Europe, through the financing of scientific-technical research projects related to the objectives of the proposals submitted and positively evaluated and considered eligible by the European Research Council, but which for budgetary reasons could not finally be financed by said organization. Third. Regulatory bases. Order CIN/1025/2022, of October 27, published in the "Official State Gazette" of October 29, which approves the regulatory bases for the granting of public aid corresponding to various programs and subprograms of the State Plan for Scientific and Technical Research and Innovation 2021-2023, whose management corresponds to the State Research Agency. Room. Amount. The maximum amount intended to finance this call amounts to 2,500,000 euros, charged to the expenditure budget of the State Research Agency for the year 2025, in accordance with budgetary availability. Fifth. Form and deadline for submitting applications. Applications for participation will be submitted in accordance with the procedure described in article 12 of the call. The electronic completion and presentation of the application must be carried out through the electronic means enabled for this purpose at the electronic headquarters of the Ministry of Science, Innovation and Universities. The application submission period will begin on June 10 and end on June 26, 2025 at 2:00 p.m. (Spanish peninsular time). Sixth. Application evaluation criteria. Applications will be evaluated according to the following criteria: a) Quality of the proposal. b) Expected impact of the results. The description of the criteria, as well as their assessment, are determined in Annex I of the call.
