Call for the XXIV Amateur Theater Contest “José María Rodero” of Pozuelo de Alarcón

Official description of the call
First. Beneficiaries The Contest is only open to non-professional theater groups from the Community of Madrid. The legal form of the participants must be that of a non-profit Cultural Association or similar, which will be accredited by the CIF of the association or any other document that accredits it, such as membership in Amateur Theater federations. The shows may be of any theatrical genre, excluding those intended for children. Only one work can be submitted per group. Assemblies already selected from the same group in previous editions will not be accepted. The selected works must be represented without changes in the text with respect to the one sent. Modification of any of its parts may be cause for disqualification. Changes in the cast must be previously communicated to the organization for approval. Second. Object. Support non-professional theater and promote access to culture and the Performing Arts. Third. Regulatory Bases. General Ordinance Regulating Subsidies of the Pozuelo de Alarcón City Council, published in the Official Gazette of the Community of Madrid number 294, of December 10, 2012. Fourth. Amount The total amount of the prizes awarded by the Delegate Department of Culture, Conciliation, Education and Relations with universities of the City Council of Pozuelo de Alarcón amounts to the amount of 4,800 euros and will be awarded from the budget application 03 3342 48100 of the expense budget of the Delegate Department of Culture, Conciliation, Education and Relations with universities for the year 2025. Fifth. Application submission deadline. The deadline for submitting applications will be 15 calendar days from the publication of an extract of the call in the BOCM. Sixth. Other Information PLACE OF CELEBRATION The Contest will be held at the MIRA THEATER, located at Camino de las Huertas nº 42, 28224 in Pozuelo de Alarcón. The selected groups will be able to use the MIRA THEATER and its technical equipment during the day assigned for the performance and under the supervision of the theater technicians. Any technical material that is not part of the theater equipment, which can be consulted on the theater website (www.culturapozuelo.es), will be the responsibility of the participants. All assembly tasks will be carried out under the coordination of the technical staff of the Mira Theater, ensuring the proper use of the material and facilities. Any material, personal or accidental damage that may occur as a result of the representations will be the exclusive responsibility of each participant. CELEBRATION DATES The Contest will be held on September 19, 20, 21, 26, 27 and 28, 2025. The performances will be at 7:30 p.m. (Dates and times subject to change due to programming needs.) THE OPENING AND/OR CLOSING of the Contest will be carried out by an amateur theater group from Pozuelo de Alarcón, previously selected in accordance with this call. In the event that the amateur theater groups belonging to the municipality of Pozuelo de Alarcón do not submit a request to participate in the Contest, a sufficient number of groups will be selected to cover the dates of its celebration. REGISTRATION FORM Registration will be carried out through a form available on the Pozuelo de Alarcón City Council website. DOCUMENTATION TO SUBMIT 1. Application for participation duly completed. (Annex 1) 2. Photocopy of the CIF of the theater group. 3. DNI of the person submitting the application. 4. Authorization from the SGAE for the representation of the work (or corresponding entity that manages copyright). 5. Complete dossier: must include the synopsis of the work, images, complete artistic file, technical file (necessary lighting and sound material, lighting plan), group history, awards and press, etc.). All of this must be contained in a single document. 6. Video link of the full function that does not require a password or expires and has sufficient image and sound quality. 7. Certificate issued by the Amateur Theater Federation. For non-federated groups, certificate with the secretary's signature indicating their history as an amateur theater group.
