Having seen the Rules of the prize of the III flamenco and short dress competition, convened by the Department of Celebrations of the Excmo. Olvera City Council, in its desire to help ensure that such a tradition of ours as dressing as flamenco at the fair is not lost, calls for the III FLAMENCA AND SHORT COSTUMES COMPETITION, which will take place during the Royal Fair of San Agustín 2025, and which will be governed by the following bases: The budgetary credit to which it is subject is 338.226.0903 III COMPETITION OF FLAMENCO COSTUMES FLAMENCO AND SHORT ROYAL FAIR OF SAN AGUSTÍN 2025 The Celebrations Delegation of the Hon. Olvera City Council, in its desire to help ensure that such a tradition of ours as dressing as flamenco at the fair is not lost, calls for the III FLAMENCA AND SHORT COSTUMES COMPETITION, which will take place during the Royal Fair of San Agustín 2025, and which will be governed by the following bases: FIRST.- As many people as they wish may participate, as long as they wear the traditional typical costume. Registrations will be collected and delivered to the Municipal Public Library of the Excmo. Olvera City Hall, located in Plaza de la Concordia S/N, Monday to Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. The registration period will be open from its publication in the province's bulletin until August 21. For the contest to be held, a minimum of 5 entries per category is necessary. SECOND.- It will take place at the Fairgrounds on: Wednesday, August 27 starting at 6:30 p.m. Categories; children and youth-adults. THIRD.- The jury will be appointed by the Delegate Councilor for Celebrations, its members being people with recognized relationships with the field of Flamenco Fashion and Art. The name of its components will be announced once the contest begins. The jury and the Local Festivals Department will have the power and decision-making capacity in the event of any incident, circumstance or event that arises and is not included in these rules. All jury deliberations will be secret. Incompatibilities of the Jury: - Being legally responsible, author, director or component of any participant. - Be a member of any entity that, in some way, presents and/or sponsors any participant. FOURTH.- The following categories are established depending on the age of the participants: Children, from 0 to 12 years old. Youth and adults, ages 13 and up. FIFTH.- For each of these categories the following prizes are established, with the endowment that is also indicated: CHILDREN'S FLAMENCO COSTUME PRIZE: Provided with a bag of fair attraction tokens. CHILDREN'S SHORT SUIT PRIZE: Provided with a bag of fairground attraction tokens. YOUTH-ADULT FLAMENCO COSTUME PRIZE: A flamenco dress valued at €200 YOUTH-ADULT SHORT COSTUME PRIZE: A short dress hat valued at €100 There will be a “Special Gift for the Best Flamenco” valued at €20 for every person passing by at the Olvera Fairgrounds who comes with the traditional typical dress and does not belong to this competition. The jury, whose decisions will be final, may declare void any of the prizes established for each category. SIXTH.- The Awards will be presented at the Municipal Booth, on Wednesday, August 27, 2024, starting at approximately 8:30 p.m. SEVENTH.- Participants agree to accept these Rules in their entirety. Given the provisions of article 21.1.s) of Law 7/1985, of April 2, Regulating the Bases of the Local Regime, I come to RESOLVE: First.- Approve the Bases of the prize for the III flamenco and short dress competition. Second.- Call for the celebration of the III flamenco and short dress competition, adjusting to the established regulatory bases. Third.- Publish the Rules on the Notice Board, as well as on the Olvera City Council website and other media within our reach (social networks, leaflets, posters, etc.).
