Official description of the call

In accordance with the provisions of articles 17.3.b and 20.8.a. of Law 38/2003, of November 17, General Subsidies, the extract of the Call is published, the full text of which can be consulted in the National Subsidies Database (http://www.pap.minhap.gob.es/bdnstrans/es/index) and on the website of the Provincial Council of Burgos (http://www.burgos.es), in the “Aid and subsidies” section. First.- Beneficiaries.- Local Entities of the province of Burgos, with a population of less than 20,000 inhabitants, may be beneficiaries of these subsidies. Second.- Purpose.- Subsidize Local Entities with less than 20,000 inhabitants for the management of free feline populations, colonies originating from abandoned, lost or marauding cats; and implementation of the CER method (capture, sterilization and return), a method of ethical management of feline colonies that provides solutions to the problems detected. The purpose of this Call is the fulfillment of the obligations established for Local Entities in Law 7/2023, of March 28, on the protection of the rights and well-being of animals. Third.- Amount.- The total budget allocated to this Call will be a maximum of €40,000, for which there is adequate and sufficient credit in budget application 44/4540/762.02, of the General Budget of the Provincial Council for 2025. The maximum amount of the subsidy to be granted will be based on the budgeted eligible costs of: 80%, for Beneficiary Local Entity with less than 200 registered inhabitants. 75%, per Beneficiary Local Entity between 200 and less than 1,000 registered inhabitants. 70%, per Beneficiary Local Entity equal to or greater than 1,000 registered inhabitants. In no case may the subsidy exceed €2,000, unless the budget item is not exhausted and the pending amount can be distributed proportionally to the beneficiaries based on the amount initially obtained. Fourth.- Deadline for submission of applications.- Applications will be submitted within 20 calendar days from the day following the publication of the extract of this call in the “Official Gazette of the Province”. Fifth.- The complete Rules, annexes and other documentation corresponding to this Call will be available to interested parties at the electronic headquarters of the Provincial Council of Burgos: https://sede.diputaciondeburgos.es
